It was a blustery day at the coast and the waves were crashing in at high tide making shooting conditions quite challenging. It wasn't easy keeping a long zoom on the tripod with an ND32 stable in the stiff wind and having to wipe the seaspray from the filter every few seconds!
A couple of horses pay no attention to Vermont Rail's southbound freight RDHJ. From the welcoming folks at Otter Creek Stables to the relaxed pace of the chase, every part of my brief time in Vermont lived up my expectations.

No more concert photos, here's a photo from our walk back to the hotel. It had been raining but thankfully not as heavily as back home in Portsmouth! The Roundhouse was about half a mile from our hotel and we passed the Stables Market, Camden on our way. I'd used my camera for the best photos at the concert but now I was back to the phone shots again!
The Imperial Stables were designed by the architect Nicholas Benois and built between 1847 and 1852 in Peterhof. Huge, trapezoidal quadrilateral stables is a medieval castle on a plan. The red brick design was inspired by Hampton Court Palace.

The Jacobean house was built for George Calvert, Secretary of State to James I and founder of Maryland, USA . Kiplin Hall was built in the early 1620s as a hunting lodge. He was born at Kiplin, where his father leased land, and bought the estate in 1619.
What is unusual is that he used red bricks instead of Yorkshire stone to build his country house.

Hannah: She won't put in the reverse. Back up Stella!
Stella: But we're not done. I'd like to visit the new neighbor first you see.
Dolly (off screen) : Just do as the human want's silly girl, or she might not feed you.
Stella: I don't need food.
Dolly (off screen) : Lovely! You've gone bonkers over a stud you never met. I'll have your carrots then.
Stella decided to do as "the human" wanted after all.

Sindy horse Stable 1981
The Bukit Timah Saddle Club, was once a popular place for many people and families to escape from the urban jungle and hang out with the nearby greenery and horses ithat sometimes would roam around the area.
While the Saddle Club not having to move to Woodlands to make way for the future Cross Island Line, many of the stables that used to once hold horses are all now empty. All that is left is a hollow shell and yet another reminder of a unique place that is sadly lost to the demands of land use and redevelopment.
