This is St. George, the capital of Grenada. This is the area around the cruise port.

In the distance is the tower of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. The church was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004.

Located in the grounds of Windsor Castle and the final resting place for many famous people, especially monarchs, including Charles I, Henry VIII, Jane Seymour, Edward IV, Edward VII, William IV, and George III amongst others.

Built in a 13th century style, the church of St George in Falfield, South Gloucestershire, was built in 1859 and consecrated by the Rt. Rev. Charles Burney, Lord Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol, on 31st July 1860. Of note is the steeply-pitched slate roof and the octagonal bell chamber.

Officially, the St. George Church was erected in 1796, but was first mentioned in the record of the churches laid by Prince Yury Dolgoruky in 1129, the construction was completed by his son Andrei Bogolyubsky 30 years later. The temple became the center of the monastery that existed until 1778, after which, by decree of Catherine II, the church was abolished, and the church was transferred to the rank of an ordinary parish

The Convent of Saint George was a Benedictine convent located in the Prague Castle in the Czech Republic. Founded in 973, the convent was next to the seat of ecclesiastical and state power in Bohemia and occasionally the entire Holy Roman Empire, and played an important historical role. Although no longer active, the convent's building and the attached Basilica dedicated to Saint George still exist; the building now houses the Czech National Gallery's collection of 19th century Bohemian art.

The tower and its clock are all that remain of this part of the medieval city.

The original St George’s church dated back to Norman times, but the present tower is probably 15th century. The church contained an ornate octagonal font. Canterbury’s most famous son, Christopher Marlowe was baptised in this font in 1564. His parents, John and Catherine, lived in a house almost opposite the church.

A woodcut of the church was created in 1825 showing it without the clock but with the city’s St George’s gate in the background. In 1836 a new clock was constructed on the south side of the tower and it was some 30 years later that the church was extended to accommodate the parishioners of the adjacent parish of St Mary Magdalene when that church, apart from its tower that remains, was demolished as it was unsafe. The St George’s church, its tower and the clock must have been the main feature of this part of the High Street.

On the night of 1st June 1942 Canterbury suffered its worst bombing raid of World War II. The Marlowes’ house, the church and almost every building in this area of the City was destroyed or seriously damaged. The shell of the church remained for 10 years before all but the tower of the church was demolished.
