¿Madre e hija? esperando el tren en una estación de Sri Lanka en un punto entre Nuwara Eliya y Ella.
Parecen algo impacientes pero como los retrasos son tan habituales allí es normal ponerse nerviosos si se tiene prisa.

To earn 1,000 Sri Lankan rupees, workers must harvest at least 18kg per day otherwise they get a lower rate per kilo. These fees are set by the government which also leases the tea estates to companies
And on we go with beach shots. It is true that there are only 2-3 dozen centimeters or - for the friends of the non-metric system - 10-15 feet between high and low tide. Nevertheless, the beach is flooded, especially at new moon high tide, and pools of dead water remain for a long time. This sometimes leads to wonderful reflections of the colored fishing boats and gives particularly astonishing snapshots.
Reviving my flickr feed after almost two years :) . I almost feel like a beginner in Flickr today, which is strange considering that I used to spend hours discussing photography and getting inspired from other's streams from 2007 to 2014.

Creo que lo original, llamativo e interesante de estas cuevas, merece que suba una imagen más y aunque ya he comentado un poco las cuevas en mi anterior fotografía, ahora en ésta quisiera hablar de cómo se pueden visitar estos templos, que es muy agradable, pues el entorno natural y la espiritualidad del lugar se nota a cada paso.
La subida a las cuevas se hace aproximadamente en 10 minutos, pero se puede hacer un poco larga con el calor de las horas centrales del día, por lo que es recomendable subir a primera o última hora del día. Cuidado si durante la subida llevas comida a la vista, pues el ascenso está lleno de monos que tratarían de quitártela y podrían, aún sin quererlo, hacerte daño.
En las cuevas hace mucho calor, pero dentro de la primera hace muchísimo, por lo que hay que tener cuidado con los golpes de calor y la alta humedad que aquí se concentra.
Todo el complejo se puede visitar en un par de horas, según lo que te entretengas con las fotos y mirando los detalles, pero en dos horas da tiempo para todo.
Como en todos los templos budistas de Sri Lanka, en las cuevas de Dambulla hay que entrar descalzo, por lo que es aconsejable llevar calcetines para evitar clavarse los pequeños guijarros y para no quemarse con el abrasador suelo de piedra. Tienes que entrar con las rodillas y los hombros cubiertos,por lo que es una buena idea llevar un pareo con el que cubrirse el cuerpo dentro de los templos.
Se pueden hacer fotos sin flash, pero no se puede hacer fotos dándole la espalda a una estatua de Buda, ya que le estaríamos dando la espalda en la imagen y está muy mal considerado.
