¿Madre e hija? esperando el tren en una estación de Sri Lanka en un punto entre Nuwara Eliya y Ella.

Parecen algo impacientes pero como los retrasos son tan habituales allí es normal ponerse nerviosos si se tiene prisa.

Négombo (Sri Lanka) - Scène prise quelques années avant la catastrophe écologique qui a pollué durablement le littoral de Négombo. En Mai 2021, un porte-conteneurs indonésien a coulé au large des côtes, polluant sur 80 km, les eaux et les plages avec des produits chimiques, des hydrocarbures et 78 tonnes de granulés de polyéthylène. Depuis la pêche a repris, mais on ne connait toujours pas les conséquences sanitaires sur ceux qui consomment le poisson issu de cette région.

Negombo (Sri Lanka) - Scene taken a few years before the ecological disaster which permanently polluted the Negombo coastline. In May 2021, an Indonesian container ship sank off the coast, polluting the waters and beaches, over 80 km, with chemicals, hydrocarbons and 78 tons of polyethylene granules. Fishing has since resumed, but we still do not know the health consequences for those who consume fish from this region.

   

The Ariyapala Mask Museum in Ambalangoda displays an extensive collection of masks + shows how they are made.

The museum is known for the production of traditional masks. Hand-carved and hand-painted.
