Inside The Sphinx on top of Jungfraujoch. The highest location in Europe by train. It took us 2 hours to get here! Here you can see the highest point, Jungfrau, 11,000 meters.
It was pretty cold up here, -6.7 Celsius. Also the oxygen content in the air was very thin. I actually got altitude sickness -- I had to sit down and take long, deep breaths before moving.
I'm not sure if Art was squinting because it was so bright outside or so cold.
The "eyespots" on this squinting bush brown butterfly, and other species like it, are helping to answer basic questions about evolution.

This was Monday night. I've been putting antibiotic ointment in his eye twice a day. I felt it was irritating more than helping, so didn't do any last night or this morning before the final recheck at the vet.
His eye looks great and she decided no corneal exam is necessary. There's still a little redness and yellow in the 3rd eyelid, so she gave him a different medicine. Applying it right then, his eye wasn't irritated by it. If he's not 100% better by Monday, she wants to see him again, but we're confident he'll be fine.
As for Victor, he's HAD IT with me poking and checking his eye and the trips to the vet. 4 trips in a week!
Sexes similar. Seen year-round in a band along the east from Durban to Mussina. Depends on camouflage in forrests and well-wooded areas.
