This is my contribution to demonstrating against any kind of censoring art.
Originally it had "censored" writen on it, but I like it better this way.
No rubber ducks were harmed in the making of this picture and .. uhm well, the squid was deep-frozen when I bought it.
The Flickr community really shows its capability of protesting in creative ways. Thanks everyone for supporting this!
Squid are attracted to bright light at night. They wait on the edge of the light and then dart in to feed. This guy was working his lines with lures up and down in constant motion in hope of a catch.

The traditional "Ika Tokkuri" sake bottles are made from sun-dried squid.
When warm sake is poured into the Ika Tokkuri it absorbs the salty flavors from the dried squid.
After a few rounds of sake, the dry squid is then slice for grilling and it tastes like the sake-infused jerky. Very interesting.

Rising from the depths, a captivating squid emerged. Stretching out on the sun lit rock as the mists from the waterfalls behind her keep her hydrated. A sight to behold for anyone lucky enough to catch a glimpse.

(Title inspired by the new Netflix television series. Although the title works perfectly for this shot I have no interest in the TV show!)
An early morning scene of the previous night's catch of squid being sorted out at Ao Noi in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Xipholeptos notoides, commonly known as the southern pygmy squid, is the sole species in the cephalopod genus Xipholeptos. The species was originally classified as Idiosepius notoides. The southern pygmy squid is native to the southwestern Pacific Ocean, off southern and eastern Australia. It inhabits shallow, inshore waters. Females grow to 25 mm in mantle length, while males are not known to exceed 15.8 mm in mantle length. This species occurs in beds of seagrass in bays and inlets where it feeds during the night on small crustaceans such as shrimp. In the daytime they remain hidden within the seagrass, adhering to the leaves of the seagrass using a glue excreted by a gland on the dorsal surface of the body. The females attach the eggs onto seagrass blades, most typically species of the genera Heterozostera and Zostera. (Wikipedia) Lembeh Strait, North Sulawezi, Indonesia.
Idiosepius is a genus of bobtail squid encompassing around eight species. It is the sole genus of the family Idiosepiida. Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia
