...or just the golden lid of a face cream, closed with a black velvet cloth underneath, placed inside a glass (invisible because of the piece of velvet) which was put sideways on an open coffee pot. This construction kept the lid parallel to the camera lense. The reflections of a crinkled piece of orange toffee tinfoil lit by a small LED lamp completed the setting.
Phhhh, a lot of 'construction work' to square the circle ;) but fun, too.
Enjoy your squared circle day, dear Flickr friends.
Chilled seltzer water in a tall blue glass. Add frozen raspberries, blackberries, and/or blueberries to top off the glass. Drink it down to get a well-defined circle. Crop to approximately fit a square. Voila, it’s a Squared Circle.
Now drink it on a hot day at high noon. It is so refreshing and delicious.😋 First, remove your mask 😷 or slide it down so you can drink the drink and walk the walk! Lol
I have been playing with marbles and drops of food colouring in a shot glass. In fact I had too much fun which meant there were too many choices for today's theme.
For this week's Macro Monday submission #squaredcircle, I caught a little inspiration from Stanley Kubrick. Here, I used a speedlight with grid to illuminate the lens elements of my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 while using another speedlight with a red gel to fire into the the eyepiece of my D500 on a tripod in order to recreate the famous HAL 9000. Fun fact...the orginal HAL was created using a NIKKOR 8MM fisheye. What a great challenge for this week! HMM!
Texas peaches are delicious but are typically pretty small. This one was no more than 2 1/2” in diameter and was indeed delicious. HMM!
