Pardon my dust as I organize my photostream.
I've been deleting a lot of older photos, re-arranging and creating new sets. I'll be adding some photos that I've taken over the summer and fall and grouping them in their new homes (albums). So you may be seeing multiple photos of the same theme.
Have a great day. ^_^
Part two of three. This was taken two days after the image of the freshly attached caterpillar. I have another image, in the comment section, of a chrysalis that formed closer to some green leaves and is much less tan than this one.
My husband swears it looks like gold in original. If you open the original size the spiracles show clearly.
For the next two weeks, I will make every effort to comment on contacts photos, but finding the time is difficult right now. If I post, and a contact comments, I will make a reciprocal comment. Having a daughter marry at the start of the academic year is more time consuming than I had imagined.

Look what I have in my bag, my dearest husband !
Oh, wonderful my dear wife, mine have just spun !
Well yes I had noticed !
This photo was taken at Bamburgh beach and although it just looks like any ordinary wire wool spin with a hint of magnesium this one is pretty special.
My Uncle who you can still clearly see in the middle of the spin is 6' tall and that would make this spin around the 24foot mark. He crammed the whisk full to the brim and spun away. He also got 2 blisters in the process :D
All in the name of Photography
On September 30th, a gloomy Sunday morning, I got into Chicago on the Lake Shore, and with some time to kill, I ran down to 18th St. to photograph whatever showed up beneath me.
Here's the Capitol Limited backing into the yard after having just spun around on the wye, complete with the recently renamed Veterans' unit, the "Joseph H. Boardman" second out.
My first self-portrait since september I am sad to say. Client work and a toddler have taken top priority. Not sure what inspired this photo. I had this idea in my head for some time. The pinwheels are real, just a little photoshop work to remove the sticks. My husband was a big help in this shoot, holding up the big fan just so so my hair and pinwheels would fly. The light was amazing and completely by accident. I had to pull my car up to the shed so I could plug the fan into the cigarette lighter. The sun bounced off my windshield and flaired directly on my face. It was a happy accident. I felt a Hitchcock presence while shooting this but after editing my husband proclaimed, "David Lynch!". I completely agree.
Few things:
Firstly, I have a laptop! My combined graduation and birthday present is an 11-inch Macbook Air, so tiny and light and I love it to bits. No CD slot, as my friend Lily pointed out, but who uses CDs anyway?
Secondly, because of new laptop, I don't even have Adobe Elements on it. I did, however, get a $100 App store gift card, so I used that to buy a computer app called Pixelmator. Right now, that's what I'll be using to edit my photos. It's a bit slow but it seems to get everything done - it even has curves! Huzzah!
Thirdly, this is Lily. I wuv her. The picture is horribly noisy, partly because it was shot at night, and partly because it was shot a few months ago, when I didn't really know how f-stops and aperture worked. Oh well. I like it, though.
Fourthly, I'M GOING TO COLLEGE IN LIKE FOUR HOURS WTFFFF.
