This is my Japanese Garden Spoonflower/Sprout Patterns contest entry by Blue Velvet. Hand drawn and painted with acrylics and digitally manipulated. I named this after a famous Japanese love song by Kuy Sakamoto, All votes will be greatly appreciated

Each piece - skirt, bodice, sleeves - can be laid out separately (potentially using different areas of the same design, and even using completely different designs). I really like the way PaisleyWomble has used the pattern pieces to structure my design to such striking effect - before printing it to fabric. Seeing this creation gives me some quite new ideas about how to position motifs and use different scales (going beyond the classic-approach-for-the-pear-shaped for instance, Sew Liberated's Schoolhouse tunic in my 'Book covers on notepaper' design in 2 scales

'Red-centered Navy on white Op Art diamonds': printed on basic cotton ultra by Spoonflower.

These red-centered, navy on white, 'Op Art' or cut out diamonds are a variation of 'Diamond-pane Window Pattern Geometric by Su_G', which itself has a color reversal: 'White on navy Op Art cut out diamonds by Su_G'.
I know this seems complicated but when I want to use related designs to create a cut'n'sew or populate a SproutPattern these sets of related designs come into their own. I will add some examples soon.

Brindille and Twig's Toddler Hoodie in 2 of my Su_G designs, with the body in 'Grunge the Lumberjack, Mud' and the sleeves in 'Classic Lumberjack, Mud - before Grunge'.
Showing two things:
1) how you can use more than one design to construct some of the clothing items - with the sleeves above in a different design; and
2) how terrific the 3-D rendered image is for helping to visualise how surface designs will look when turned into 3-D clothing items. It still needs a bit better tuning to the 2-D pattern placement. In this case, for instance, I want to avoid a harsh center line down the front, but it's important that the plaid lines be evenly spaced to the center front (CF).
