Approximately 4 months after containment of the Woolsey fire.
Within a week of containment of the fire, many of the chaparral yucca were already sprouting new stalks. Most of those are looking very robust now. This one, however just has come to life. Though completely charred, our recent rains and cool temperatures have allowed it time to regenerate.
This Maple Leaf tree had been cut back a bit along the shoreline, but it didn't stop new leaves from growing on the edge of a stump on the bark.
I am entering my PTS10 pillow into the Modern Mini Quilt Challenge hosted by Ellison Lane. The design was inspired by Tracey Jay's scrappy sprouts and my partner's (Mel, Crandons) mosaic and her colour requests. I thought it would be fun to make the sprouts with curves but keep them scrappy.
The Taipei 101 skyscraper, seeming to sprout from the hills. Shot from about 28km distant with 600mm telephoto.
Located in West Virginia's Northern Panhandle is the Market Street Bridge. Constructed in 1905, this narrow suspension bridge spans the industrial river towns of Weirton, WV and Steubenville, OH. both of which sprouted into bustling activity along the banks of the Ohio River during the early years of the 20th century. The framework of the structure was created by the Penn Bridge Company and the steel fabrication by Jones & Laughlin Steel Company of Pittsburgh. In 2019, the bridge was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places
Male Wood Duck, Wildwood Lake, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I have absolutely no idea what Woody has in his bill. He fished it out of the lake and carried it around for a while. Then he ate it. I've asked several people what it is and nobody knows. So since it looks like a Brussel Sprout I'm going with that. ; )
Any ideas?

I am zero into the center of the swire. with the back lit sun light, it make the swire more outstanding. The only thing is the 2 spots of sun burn white color are there.
Overall, this is a great shot.
Thank you for your visit, comments & Fave.
Having little fun letting this Potato sprout,
No need to toss the spuds. If you simply cut away those colored areas and any sprouts, your potatoes will be quite safe to eat.

I was finally able to make it back up to the mountain top so that I can continue working on the Flowers series
It all looks so different up here now that things are growing and not covered in snow. I think this is the same area where I left off with Hibernation...
I'd been waiting until there were some nice detailed clouds before doing another one of these and of course they disappeared once I got up. So I did some experimenting with adding in cloud detail.
I secretly dread posting these because I have no idea how the yellowish sky looks on other computers. It usually ends up being too yellow on others so I tried to tone it down on mine. Hopefully it wasn't too much.
I just had to walk into my garden to find all kinds of choices: broccoli, Brussel sprouts and beets. Earlier in the year there would have been blueberries and blackberries. These aren't quite ready to harvest yet, too small. Hopefully they'll grow a little more soon.
Quercus robur growing on the felling within the Kuneevsky forest area in Togliatti. Considering its crown shape we can guess that its development has started under the conditions of a disperse canopy
