We heard about specific challenges, such as the approach to Welsh-language digital services, and looked at the potential for digital transformation in Wales and across the UK.

Sprint: Edinburgh showcased the progress and potential of digital transformation across Scotland and the UK.

 

We heard from ministers, senior civil servants and digital practitioners about work to transform services, develop capability and ensure Scotland and the UK are world-leading digital nations.

 

Delivering the keynote is Kate Forbes, MSP, Scottish Parliament.

This location opened in 2006 in suite 309, then expanded into suite 310 in 2014. It became a T-Mobile on August 2nd, 2020.

 

Suite 310 was originally a McGuire TV Center, which opened in the late 1950s. It became a Fox Photo in 1997 (previously located here), Wolf Camera in fall 1998, and a Ritz Camera in 2002, which closed in October 2012.

 

Suite 309 was previously an S. Galeski Optical Co., which opened in April 1962 and relocated to 4913 West Broad Street in 1986. It became Peoples Financial Services/Peoples Income Tax in fall 1988 (originally located at 8424 West Broad Street), which closed in the mid 2000s, and a Nextel in December 2003.

We looked at examples of digital transformation from a number of local authorities and charted the progress of the Local Digital Declaration as it approaches its one-year anniversary.

We looked at Northern Ireland’s progress so far and potential for the future and focus on how to build tools, capability and culture for digital transformation.
