New irrigation system at Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC)

Earlier this summer, I thought I would be clever and retrofit our old sprinkler system and attach a drip irrigation system for the front yard garden... Well, it was a fail. On my the first run, it seemed like it was running fine... but after 20 minutes I noticed a bunch of water coming out of the garden into the sidewalk and street. Although I capped all the old sprinkler heads, I think the PVC pipes underground must have a crack and I can't identify exactly where it is... so I just left this and am not using it until I can set it up to get water from the faucet instead... #dripirrigation #filter #sprinklersystem #sprinkler #retrofit #variegatedvinca #vinca October 10, 2020 at 09:55PM

I've been pretty good about taking a picture with my iPhone everyday for my 365 but really bad about posting them onto flickr. The last couple of days were missed but are up now. I need to get into a groove.

The olive trees in Crete require water and one sees these black irrigation pipes all over the fields with the sprinkler system along the roads. Sometimes, a farmer will stop in his truck and switch a different tap on. Luckily nobody seems to interfere with these massive sprinkler systems and they become a familiar sight whilst driving along.

ESFR system. 10 years in action. first leak showed up 6 months ago followed by another 5 leaks. extensive endoscopic survey showed all inspected pipes suffer from severe complex corrosion activities influenzed by mic bacteria. all 6 esfr heads were blocked by corrosion products like this one. use mic-guard. www.mic-europe.eu

In this infographic, I have listed installation steps for Rainbird gardener's drip irrigation system. It is convenient and efficiently waters in the garden. You can easily install faucet & no plumbing skills are required for that.

In addition to providing a fully automatic pop-up sprinkler system to the pitches the project also paid for a sprinkler system to be installed to the bowling greens.
