Spring Watch - Starling chick

I have been watching these beauties since early spring, taking many very distant flight shots, that will never see the light of day.

 

Well a few days ago all that changed with two of them deciding to land next to me

  

These birds were ones I saw many times as a child, walking with my late father. We used to listen to their distinctive sound together. Now they bring back happy memories of our time together

Early morning owl watching is not confined to ageing photographers.

 

This lovely grouse was also taking note of the nearby action.

We have had several visits from the Sparrowhawk ( female) she has spent the last hour in the garden and next doors in very wet conditions.

Taken on sand dunes in Devon.

 

Spent last week in Devon and managed to find 8 Adders on some local sand dunes.

 

Flickr seems to be degrading the quality for some reason. It appears a lot clearer on my computer.

Near Broughty Ferry this afternoon.
