This image won't stand up to close scrutiny as it's a crop from a very much larger image. The bee was shot with my 300mm lens from a good distance away. I've been playing around with the focus tracking on this new camera and have come to the surprising conclusion that it's as good as the 1D Mark IV.

A Maastricht restaurants spingtime menu at dusk, the neon lighting coming from the store opposite.
Had to take this lower than the window itself to avoid my reflection, handheld, then heavily perspective corrected once back home.

Here's a shot I wish would have come out better. The Indian Paintbrush in the FG looks much too soft to me. I was moving a little too fast and kind of blew the shot.
But I wanted to post this anyway to show the salmon color of this particular Indian Paintbrush plant. Out of ALL the paintbrush I saw up there this was the ONLY one of this color. Very cool!!!
Well now that I know this maybe next time I'll bring it into focus.

A storm blew through leaving a trail of devastation across the state of Iowa. We were fortunate with only rain and high winds. My Irises took a beating, lost some, trampled down a few that I cut and brought inside, closed up a few but opened a few more! I find beauty in all the stages that a flower takes from bud, to flower, back to bud, to dying. Behold life and death in a cycle thru Mother Nature. A rather warm day today, It felt like spring. It was 80 degrees and I saw a few alligators sunning themselves on logs, they are supposed to be hibernating. Crazy weather.

Busy Starling parent taking a pause. Starlings are incredibly dutiful parents to their young and the mother's beak is filled with treats for her hungry brood. Hope you enjoy this springtime moment as well! ♥♪♥
Taken from the Springtime balloon landing area, from the one vicinity where you can look right down the Valley out to the Ocean. It just so happens, that at this time of year, that view down the Valley is at the point on the horizon right where the sun is setting. At this time of year, that point is rapidly moving north each day.
