A gorgeous, fiery sunset to end a busy Saturday. It's nice to finally slow down and take a breather while watching the sun set beyond the western horizon... When I was younger, I thought that when the sun sets and touches a landmass or the sea, it would sink into the earth. Pic taken from around San Jose, CA right by EVHS. It was cooler this day with temps only reaching into the 70s for our area...much cooler than the past few days. (Saturday around sunset, May 17, 2014; 8:07 p.m.)

I got these flowers for Springday and I think they are so preety and pinkalicious!!

Today was exceptionally beautiful. Our home is situated so that we don't have a great view of either sunrises or sunsets. This morning, however, as I drank early morning coffee, suddenly the front of our house turned pink. Looking toward the East, I saw a magnificent sunrise, such a view as is uncommon from our windows.
The afternoon sky was of splendid blue with mounds of soap-suds clouds. Jerry and I walked the path that led through the Heaps Peak Arboretum. The sights were no less than breath-taking.
We finished our day here where we inquired about the program times. One was scheduled for tonight, but as amazing as it seems after such a beautiful day, the weather is thought to be changing tonight, with fog and rain moving in.
