Spring Training 2010 - Pirates Farm by MASsitio

chasing a dream on the farm, Pirates Cityin Bradenton, Florida is the Pittsburg Pirates minor league complex. There are 750 MLB players every year. And, there are millions more who want their job. Most of them don’t even make it as far as this baseball academy. With dormitories and other facilities nearby, they also eat, sleep, & live here. Recently renovated, it has all the comforts of a university campus. Room 231 is dedicated to Roberto Clemente where he stayed in the spring. The training sessions looked like something similar to auditions, lots of moving parts.

Warming up , Mariners Pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma before the Mariners played the Chisox to a 5-5 tie March 18 at Camelback Ranch Stadium. It was brutally hot, well over 100 so early in the season, but I made the whole game. The next day came the big rain, perfect timing for me as I was going to hike .
