Space Coast Stadium on March 07, 2010. A Sunday afternoon slugfest, Mets 14 Nationals 6. I read on Sports Illustrated Magazine that Dave Racaniello, a 31 year old bullpen catcher, set the tone in the Mets clubhouse by riding a bicycle from Newark, New Jersey to the New York Mets Spring Training Camp in Port St. Lucie, Florida with $20 and a trailer hitched to the bike full of sweaters, sandwiches, and a tent. David Wright, his best friend, was the only one on the team to wage his bet for him. They spoke on the phone every night and reminded each other of what a ball player says, “Take it day by day”. Racaniello made it 8 days earlier than expected.

Tradition Field is the only stadium that I remember flying the POW flag. Very nice place. Great place to take in a ball game.
Spring Training 2008. My first trip to Florida for spring training. I landed in Miami in the morning and drove about two hours to Port Saint Lucie where the Dodgers were visiting the Mets at Tradition Field.
