When the photographed tries to become the photographer...

Black Paws was an orphaned fox I helped feed and she has now moved to her own territory.

As the light faded on the Scottish cliffs the last of the sun moved behind the beautiful beak and lit it up like a lantern..

I was beginning to think I wasn't going to make the ten-year run on the 'Watches'… When this popped up tonight. Needless to say, I'm well chuffed.

This tiny little fella was taken up on the Mendip hills.

I took this photo of a Dotterel last September, they migrate from North Africa to their breeding grounds in the Scottish Highlands. One of their stop off points for 'refuelling' is the Black mountain in the Breacon Beacons. Springwatch presenter Iolo Williams actually recorded one of his TV shows about Dotterel on the very same mountain. Sadly I have not been able to see any Dotterel migrating this year during the Spring or on their return this Autumn. I hope it's not a sign of things to come and hope next year will be better.

Near the river Tay in Dunkeld this afternoon,i think this is a female Robin because it was very quiet and was looking for nesting material.

On the Isle of May last week, they will be busy feeding their Pufflins until August.
