Funky caterpillar of the Pale Tussock Moth (Calliteara pudibunda). Found amongst the leaflitter in Sherwood Forest.

Here is my cat, Hampton, who usually is quite solitary, however he sometimes relaxes in front of the television with the rest of the family.

The Springwatch 2014 Studio is nearly ready for use. Overlooking the Island Mere.

 

A Hot sunny and windy day at Minsmere and the busiest we've ever experienced.

Same blue tit as before www.flickr.com/photos/7776810@N07/5680624981/in/photostream. However, there was a lot a frantic wing flapping and vocalisation, which makes me think this was a female - demanding some attention!

Seen in a garden in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders.

Underwings are totally white.

Looking again, I think it could be a carrion crow, Any suggestions?

11/365 11.06.12- This white lipped snail provided a flash of colour today on an otherwise grey day!

Had a good day at minsmere today 😃

On the way into Lakota in the morning, a girl sitting with a group of friends announced that Char looked like Bill Oddie.

This amused us.
