Squirrel eating what looks like a squirrel skull!

 

Fairly sure this is a male parent bug with a parasite of some sort ?

 

Following on from the short piece on Herons, your viewers might be interested in this Heron with a very sizable Pike, and yes it did manage to swallow it.

this is so tiny I needed a microscope to even see it with my eyes lol

the grasshopper warbler springwatch webcam inspired me to draw this! watching the webcam, it was such a picture-perfect scene, I couldn't help myself!

A Queen Bumble Bee has made her nest under a pile of wood in our garden. Rather than tunnel slightly deeper into the soil to get under the wood, the bees have chewed part of the wood itself.
