It is the national flower of Nepal as well as the state flower of West Virginia and Washington in United States, and state tree of Sikkim in India. This one has been taken in Bulborum, Limmen. A place where a lot of very old tulip species are shown every year
Tulips / Tulpen (Tulipa), still in a vase,
taken in the kitchen 'studio' because of the stormy winds ;-))
But this year, due to the mild winter, spring actually is about 4 weeks earlier than the long-term average ... !?
