"Recovering executives". How do you keep a white suit that clean?
- black dress from London's Topshop a few years ago
- JC Penny's vintage red pleather espadrilles
For some reason this was a total catcall-outfit on my 10 min walk to the subway. The weirdest one I got was "You look pretty" from a tow truck? How frickin' weird (and almost polite) is that?
Skirt love.

Most of the day was spent cleaning or watching Fidel unshowered, but I managed to be presentable by the time dinner rolled around.

I guess I gained a little cushion because 2 of my pencil skirts no longer fit right. Fit is frustrating.

St. Germain 1987 Spring/Summer Collection
Non-original band
This is the second watch I bought. Back in 1989, the money to buy a Swatch felt like SO much and I spend days deciding which one to get. I must have looked at that band a million times. The original band finally cracked and broke (I still have it). Luckily, I was able to find a replacement band.

First of all you can really tell how much I love taking pictures of myself for a clothing journal. This was an issue I went through the last time I clothes-journaled. I like doing it because you can somewhat objectively see fits and shapes and I've definitely realized some things just don't work due to the beauty of a camera. (And that others totally do.) But I cannot get over the anthropology-project feel of it to camp it up for the camera.
I'm not entirely sure how I ended up with this one. Was it when I was shopping for work clothes frantically? Did I plan on wearing it as a slutty dress? A TAN slutty dress?
In an effort to "use it or lose it" I layered it with a jacket I actually like and it was bearable.

I am still not sure how I feel about keeping this one around. The fit is loose but I guess supposed to be loose. And it's tan. I don't wear tan. However, today is making me heart those heeled sandals even more.
Cologne/Paris 5.10.06 From the 5th to the 8th of October 2006 the new eva gronbach
summer 2007 collection (women, mens, accessories, shoes) will be presented at the
Designer Salon RENDEZ-VOUS in Paris. It has been created in honour of german artist
Karl Valentin (1882 – 1948).
The collection is characterized by a slim silhouette, the hallmark of german artist and
comedian Karl Valentin’s appearance.
The clear shape is emphasised by the contrasting colours black, white and grey. The
collection comprises blazers, jackets, skirts, pants and shirts of which the clear cut is
intermitted by the material selection. Fine japanese ribbons complete the line. The
womens collection shows puff sleeves in different variations on shirts, blousons and
jackets.
Knitwear like pullovers and slip-ons with V-neck or roundneck have braces elements built
in. Slim ties, some of them knitted complete the suit line for men and women. Materials
are viscose, cotton and a cotton-metallic mix – some shiny fabrics and some with a matt
silk finish.
With her collections the young german designer sets topical issues in a new fashion
context and thus inspires discussions. She first caused a stir on the international fashion
scene with her collection 2000 "Declaration d’amour à l’Allemagne".
Eva Gronbach: “It is exciting to see how fashion is able to alter peoples perceptions.“
The latest spring/summer 2007 collection is created in honour of german artist Karl
Valentin (1882-1948)
eva gronbach worked for Yohji Yamamoto, Paris, Stephen Jones and John Galliano

Brussels and at the Institut Francais de la Mode (IFM), Paris, she received her diploma and
M.A.
Her clothes are sold in Europe, USA as well as in Japan.
