We complain when they cover our yards and act like they are unwelcome intruders. Yet, they give us a smile, remind us of childhood times, of asking "do you like butter" and putting pollen streaks on our wrists or under our chins, collecting bunches for our mothers and teachers, making wishes when they turn to seed.
