This is my flower for today - my previous upload was for yesterday as we have been away for a couple of days and had no internet access.

looking for crocus is like an Easter egg hunt! :)
this was taken in the early afternoon on a bright, sunny day, but in a very sheltered place..
the crocus seem to glow in the shade :)
Have a wonderful day!!

This Camellia is growing in my front garden and at the moment is full of buds. They seem to take forever to bloom, but when they do, it makes a beautiful display.
Was really delighted when I spotted these beside the frog pond. In fact they are lucky I did not trod on them!!! I had to lock up the dogs before I settled down for a photo shoot. I think I might have a few good shots but I have not had time to go through them yet.
Will catch up with you all asap.
When I was wandering around the garden today I spotted this lovely dragonfly hanging off a leaf. I had the wrong lens on the camera and I had to go inside and put on my 180mm macro lens. I was sure it wouldn't be there when I went back, but it was and it stayed there for a few photos.
Ines Seidel, who participates in the exhibition with a book art installation and a collage in the same theme, sent me a package through the mail (she leaves near Munich, Germany) didn't leave anything to chance.
I am curating a group exhibition about springsnow (elm seeds taking over the sky and the streets of Amsterdam around april 21st until may 21st). Read more about the event here: springsnow.nl/en/about/.

Rain was the word for this past weekend and a lot of it!! So, since Sunday afternoon was blah and rainy and we didn't even get out of the house, a photo of the large rain drops sitting on new green leaves seemed to be a great idea.

When I looked out at our backyard this sunny March 17, 2024, I saw the first Bird of Paradise bloom of the year and grabbed my Canon Powershot SX50. After I grabbed some shots of the TWO birds of paradise blooms, I saw several other buds on our fruit trees and this lovely blossom on our Donut Peach tree. I captured this image with my camera set at macro and spot focus, almost touching the flower when I depressed the shutter button. This is the cropped version, showing closer detail of the pretty pink flower. I posted the original image a while ago.
Spent a lot of time in the yard yesterday...cut the grass for the first time this year, applied some weed & feed stuff to make the grass look good, and ran the weed eater. In the process, I noticed a couple of the first signs that spring was arriving. The first is the dandelion with the yellow flowers and puffballs that kids usually love. So, since it's been kind of a lazy day, I thought I'd share these one of these first signs of spring.

Where have I heard that lyric? It's the only part of whatever song it is. It's 'sung' in a slow staccatto, clipped rythym, with an emphatic "Hunh!" at the end for emphasis... Dang!
So, "Operation Get Bernie Sanders" seems to have been put in motion, as one Democrat candidate after the other suddenly fold their tent and bow out of the race, while their commercials are still airing. Pete Buttigeig, Tom Steyers, and Amy Klobachar have dropped their candidacy.
The question is why? Why now, just before Super Tuesday, when anything can happen, and while their ads are still running? Why would you do that?
Well, in at least one case (Buttigeig), it appears to be immediately after a conversation with Barack Obama, who must have either promised he could be next, or made him a offer he couldn't refuse, Godfather-style. Although.. that would be more Hillary's style, to be honest.
It shows that whoever gets nominated on the Democrat side, it won't be entirely the choice of the Democrat voters. There is power behind the throne, and if he gets there, Biden will be in their debt and control. So, who are they actually voting into power?
