Awhile ago we visited the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. While viewing the estate I spotted this handkerchief and knew I had to have it. Further more I knew it was what I wanted to base the wedding on. It's perfect for a Spring Wedding. Also it mixed together my love of butterflies and flowers. This Butterfly made from flowers is only in a corner of the handkerchief. The majority is plain white fabric.
A few weeks ago I was having a mini "crisis" and thought about doing a Fall wedding. Why had I picked Spring? Fall is a great season too! All sorts of lovely things. And really Fall isn't bad.
But there is something to be said about Spring and how everything wakes up then. I think that's what sold me. That Spring is all about the earth and everything on it, waking up fresh and new. A new start. And that's what butterflies represent to mea s well. How awesome is it knowing that when you see a butterfly, a caterpillar is experiencing a new life? An old, but new life all at the same time.
And when I marry Art, it will be a fresh and new start to life for me. For all of us. It will be old and new coming together.
I can't wait! *squeals for delight*

When Mr and Mrs Grebe decided to take relaxing swim after working on the nest all day, Mr and Mrs Muskrat decided to come for a visit and try out the nest while "the Grebes" were out. Little did they know that "the Grebes" would catch them in the act.
