The poor little dogs froze when they went out this morning. We went from temps in the lower 80's over the weekend to 24 degrees this morning.

AI: Picea orientalis 'Spring Frost' is a slow-growing, upright oriental spruce with a broad pyramidal or conical habit. It is notable for its bright lemon-yellow new growth in spring, which gradually matures to dark or medium green foliage through the summer. This dwarf conifer typically grows 5 to 10 feet tall with a spread of 3 to 6 feet over 10 years, making it suitable as a small specimen tree or for rockeries. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. The striking yellow new shoots provide seasonal interest and contrast against the darker interior foliage, offering a low-maintenance, visually appealing evergreen option hardy in USDA zones 4 through

God gives us beauty and pleasure, but reminds us to treasure and protect it We went from temps in the lower 80's over the weekend to 24 degrees this morning. All of my happy plants in the garden must be frozen. I did try to cover the most tender of them - like the bleeding heart.
