I'm no green thumb. In fact I'm the worst. I kill so many plants. Last spring, my mom gave me an African Violet. She has a ton all over her house. So I've been desperately trying to keep it alive. It's about to go on one year which is a HUGE accomplishment for me. I also had some awesome seed bombs that I snagged one of and planted in a pot my mom gave me as well. Other than the fact that it has gotten so tall that I might need to start helping it prop up, it has survived too! I'm so proud. With so much gloom lately I've moved them to the front room so I can look at them all the time. It's nice to see a little green. I have the spring fever.

You know spring is here when the cats start to behave strangely.

Spring Fever Tour

I suggest you check out their myspace here . They kind of remind me of Matchbox Twenty in some form or another -- definitely a good listen!

Things are finally starting to grow and bloom! Montreal is finally getting spring fever!

I am ready for some flowers to bloom and birds to come back and nice warm sunshine!

Getting spring fever!!

It's spring in Texas when the Cactus Flowers bloom. I found this flower is in Pala Pinto County. Some of the surprise of finding this beauty is due to the massive fires this spring that destroyed thousands of acres of farm and ranch land. Directly across the street from this plant was a hill that had been totally burned out.

This flower symbolizes the hope that every spring brings after every cold winter.

just kickin' back on the patio here having some lunch.

it was warm and breezy yesterday. weather said 68°, but I don't think it got that high. it was one of those days where you could be perfectly comfortable in jeans and a sweatshirt to keep the wind off you, and the sun beaming down on you doesn't make you too hot.

just looking up through the trellis here. those are grape vines which I imagine block out the sky in season.
