Pilot Knob State Park - Iowa
Out hiking in the park on a beautiful sunny spring day. The air was quite cool, some breeze out of the north, but still great weather to be "Out & About!"
In winter's past this pond was plowed and manicured for ice skating after school and on weekends. It was a busy place, with a warming house and a fire. But now days, there may be some kids sledding on the hill, but no ice skaters.

Highland Farms, Cornish, Maine.
It was a nice spring day up at Highland Farms today, the overcast sky we had in the morning gave way to sunshine and scattered clouds.
After the past two weeks of rain and dark gray sky's it was really nice to see the sun again.

This shot was taken in Lewes, DE at the Cannonball House. At the front corner of the house, there is actually a small cannonball still stuck in the bricks from the War of 1812.

Wilmington, DE
A few weeks back, my sons and I drove to Wilmington, DE to visit a couple of gardens and see the spring flowers. We packed a lunch and sat and ate it in Brandywine Park. No sooner did we pull out the cooler, three squirrels decided to join us. I had packed a bag of unsalted, roasted peanuts and tossed a few to our new friends. My oldest son, however, was eating Takis, which are rolled up tortilla chips that are coated in dark red Chile spices (they are entirely too hot and spicy for me). Without my knowledge, he decided to toss one to the squirrel closest to us. The squirrel loved it apparently and devoured the snack quickly. Another squirrel had tried to steal it away, with no luck. Who knew squirrels liked spicy snacks. (Disclaimer: My son only got away with throwing one snack to the the squirrels)

Hope you are all well and enjoying beautiful springdays dispite of all the things going on around the world
Heaven
A silly shot today. A couple of days ago I walked out my front door and there were these awesome clouds to the left side of my house. They all looked like flying saucers. I turned to my right to see this one lost and lonely cloud all by itself. It immediately reminded me of Jack's dog Zero, from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Does anyone else see it or is it just me????

I have so many tulip pictures this year that will never see the light of day so I created another collage. Hope you have a great Monday, Flickr friends!

Every now and then there are those late springdays that everything seems to be perfect.
The cloudrows sailing by.
The backlight reflected in little puddles and streams, rippled by the springbreeze.
Every next step a new image.
The mind so filled with landscape that you hardly know where to look.
And above all the sound of silence.
Thank you all for your FAV´s and comments.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
And lots of creativity in 2022
