I can't simply throw him out with the trash, because I know how he would feel.

Oh MAN. I sort of enjoy the cacophony of the frogs in the evening -- one will start singing and then the others will all chime in, it's a rather amazing noise and experience -- but I was not exactly prepared for the sheer number of frog eggs / tadpoles in the pond as I cleaned it.
I did not particularly want to kill them but in the process of cleaning the leaves and other debris out of the pond I of course picked up quite a lot of frog eggs. I feel very guilty about it. But I think plenty will still survive. I hope!
Also, I know nothing about ponds. I would prefer to have plants and little fish in there but I am not sure that is viable with the sort of pond it is. So uhh I sort of neglected it since we moved in, and now I want to at least get it cleaned out and run it every night or something so the mosquitoes don't multiply in there. Pond care tips, I'll take 'em!
