The cherry blossoms are out in the Kita giving the slide fort a swath of color, this is form the Almstadtstr side. Spring was very sudden this year, we had frost and snow, then 1 week later weather in 20C (70's F) and all the trees and plants exploded into bloom (and pollen) all at once

The parade this year took a different rout than usual. It was suppose to start at 12:30 and probably did, we managed to see the very first float at 13:30 on a little bit of sidewalk in the shade, though by this point people were standing in the street to watch.

Our signs of spring include the KiTa (Kndergarten) yard turning colors. We look out on this from our balcony and it is the major sign of the seasons.

Our building is there to the right behind the budding tree.. This was a bit early, but the many fruit trees were coming into bloom and I needed to capture the transition from 6 months of grey, through a few weeks of diverse color before it settles to green for the summer.

Vibrant mauve flowers bloom (at last!) on a bush in my back yard in spring 2018.
