Another mystery plant in my garden, though this one is trying hard to become a tree, already about eight feet high. It's evergreen, has this pretty blossom in summer and small reddish black berries in the winter – and having hunted through all my plant books, I can't find it.
A lovely warm Spring day at St. Edwards church Kempley, Gloucestershire, with daffodils now all out around the church.
At some point I shall have to move on from spring to summer, but it's notoriously difficult to know quite when that is in England... Meanwhile, here are two more shots of my Philadelphus or Mock Orange, which is blooming away. We've had some very heavy rain in the last few days, hence the raindrop at the bottom right-hand corner here.

It takes but one positive thought when given a chance to survive and thrive to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.
I imagine the Hood River Valley will look like this in the next few weeks, but for this year we'll have to reflect back on prior years.
