It's spring in my garden in Sydney. Unfortunately, warm weather has caused the blossom not to last as long as it usually does.

Turkeys are in full bloom and sporting all the new spring fashions Apparently bold colors are in this year.
The flowers are produced in the early spring before the leaves,
in our area this is when you know spring has started,
William Forsyth was a Scottish botanist, Forsythia was named in his honor.

Sometimes, spring explodes in glory unexpected. Colour, light, and, location come together, bringing breathless wonder, and promises of summer. New life, new hope, new outlook on life.

Spring Beauty (claytonia virginica) is a common little wildflower found in fields, glades, the forest floor and sometimes yards. It is about the size of a dime (20mm), with some being pale purple and others like this one, with more white. All have the pink anthers.
I still have not found a morel this spring, although I'm hearing family and friends tell of 5-gallon buckets full being gathered. I was surprised to see some indian paintbrush a couple days ago, but didn't get a photo. I thought it was too early for it!

The first blooms of spring. We had snow through this weekend. Surprise! It warmed up a little and we had our first bloom! There is hope spring is coming after all!
Spring came to Japan.
Cherry blossoms begin to bloom in various parts of Japan.
Cherry blossoms began to bloom also in Tokyo.
The flower will open to a lot of kinds of cherry blossoms in April in March.
And, the Japanese feels the thing that spring comes by enjoying cherry blossoms by love.
Every year I look forward to the arrival of spring. The hills become green and the changing weather kicks up unexpected storms. After a dry winter I was losing hope for a great year shooting in the hills. However a spring surge in storms made it one of the most memorable springs in the California hills. A few days shy of spring equinox, Aaron and I headed to the hills while a patch storm system was growing over the hills. We had some drizzle and some rainbows but the real show began when the setting sun ducked below the low cloud deck and set the hills alight. With the light and shadow play, these hills reminded me of sand dunes, but green.

Setagaya Ume Matsuri (Japanese Apricot Blossom Festival) at Hanegi Koen (park), Setagaya-ku. There are nearly 700 apricot trees in the park grounds. On the 21st, matcha (powdered green tea) is served both at the chashitu (tea ceremony room) and open-air from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
On the 28th, sencha (green tea) is served at the chashitu from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Free tea tickets for matcha and sencha are distributed twice from 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on both days, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hello everyone, just stopping by to say a quick hello. Winter is still hanging on here in Northern New England. We had about 2-3 inches of snow overnight. It's been a long one since about the end of Jan. My place of employment burned last July, and I am waiting to return to work soon. My employers are rebuilding and we hope to return to work within the next month. It has been a refreshing time off. Hope you're all doing well! Take care!

Coils and springs
My husband has in his workshop a box of assorted springs, just in case he ever needs one ! I don’t know if he has ever needed one over the years but they certainly came in handy for this challenge. I’ve done a bit of PP to make them look a little more interesting.
