Late night out with Phill and a welcome return to this location. Trying a new technique, using 50mm MD Rokkor 1.7 @f11 for the sparks, swaped to pre-focused 28mm soligor 2.8 @f5.6 for my silhouette, backlit by Phill with a light blue gel on the Klarus XT11s. gonna keep trying with this technique. Top Nights 😀.

Taking a break between clients the other day and I was having a lot of fun watching the waves close to the "Golden Hour". The Santa Ana winds were really blowing that day so it was pretty cool to see the tops of the waves blowing back as they came crashing in. It was really adding quite and nice show behind this guy as he came riding the waves in on his board.

Always nice when the first rays hit the mountains . those little black specs on the lake are people ice fishing . the wind was strong so i hope they caught something.
We stopped just above here to have a break from driving and eat our lunch. We made it before the light rain started.
With the North East RHTT turn now operated by Colas there was some interest in what traction might be employed.
I was pleased to find that 56113 and 105 were on hand for the first day of operation, and the pair are seen here passing Peth Lane foot crossing near Ryton, around an hour behind schedule, with the return leg - the 3J78 08:35 Nunthorpe to Carlisle Yard on the 24th September 2025.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊
Watching the river flow over this small fall and crash down on the rocks below was quite fascinating. I loved how the sunlight caught the streams of water, and of course the sound of rushing water has always had a soothing effect, very much like the sounds of waves breaking on a beach.
A shot I'd really like to replicate on a grand scale but one of Riley's toys had to suffice. That is until I have access to a room riddled with bullet holes.
This is number 216 of my 365.
A quick little afternoon stroll along the Spray River Loop. Historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is seen nestling in the background.
Was a wonderful evening for a walk along the pier, then down to see the light house before heading back to the house for a night cap before bed..
Thought I would make it round the corner before the tide came in..but as you can see it sprayed just as I reached it.....but hey was on way back so no damage done..laughs....
Think my outfit held up well too ..although was a little chilly I must say being wet..
If your wondering where I got my outfit and who its by, don't worry all links will be posted below ..
Well think I had better head back now,as the cold from the water and the chill of the wind picking up is making me shiver a little..
