Exploding into the Winter sky
Water rises and does fly
Into the rays of the sun
Over the waves that do run
Across the lake that does shine
Filled with natures replenishing wine
That does spray and does rise
Exploding into the Winter skies
You never know what to expect at Peggy's Cove. The wind was SOOO strong the crashing waves sprayed my camera and glasses from way back here!
Another image of this lovely Magnolia tree bursting with blossoms.
I pushed the Mid Contrast slider to the left to soften the image, giving it a more artistic feel. Then completed it with a green-toned frame, resulting in what you see above :)
Another seascape image from the UNESCO Geopark Site, the Copper Coast in County Waterford. The turbulent sea crashing off the rocks creating a lot of spray.
#CN916 sprays weed chemicals along the Kingston Sub, starting their slow journey from Belleville-Brockville. Once they get to station sign “Kings”, the spray crew calls it a day, as it gets windier and it will affect the way they spray the weeds. So after Kings, they’ll head to Brockville yard to park their train, until the next day or so.
The Spray River in the dead of winter taken from the Goat Creek Trail. This trail follows behind the south side of Rundle Mountain to the Banff Springs Hotel.
In her day-to-day, ahead seems gray, but with her reflexive gaze, creativity comes to life.
I'm just trying my hand at some fine arts photography. Mosquitoes bit me 27 times while taking this picture. She was bit 12 times before we realized that we were being eaten alive. So much anti-itch spray!
This was a rather damp photo to take, had my wellies, waterproof trousers and top on as well as a brolly trying to keep the camera and bag dry.....We had stopped here on the way up to a weekend away at Invergarry, just past Fort William, but it was raining, as you would expect plus the spray from the waterfall.....suffice to say everything got damp one way or another and once we arrived at the cottage, all the radiators were covered !!!
When I arrived at Spray Lakes, that sits at the top of a mountain, this was my first sight and I new this is the place where I would return for an evening shot. Driving along the side road that led to yesterdays shot, it quickly came to me that everything was frozen over and if a reflection was to be had, this was the only place.
I stood on a narrow bridge to get this shot and when I heard a car coming, ran for the side of the road since visibility would be limited for the driver. It was not at all dangerous, it just sounds that way.
When composing this rocky closeup with an ocean spray, it reminded me of an old sailors principle. "If the wind was at your back it was blowing the correct way to get you to your destination so it is used as a wish for a good safe journey",
Having sailed a good deal, the spray in my face and the wind at my back, fit this story. Getting down and getting close, seamed to introduce these notions.
I'm starting to go through my insane amount of photos and came across this one from just before Spray Lakes thawed out. I personally feel that I obtained my best images of Spray Lakes from this excursion. I hope everyone feels the same.
The wild winds had whipped up the seas. Remember that we are inside the entrance to the Tamar estuary. But the sea is relentless.
Perennial Shasta daisy flowers every year. I managed to rescue a few plants that had been sprayed with weed killer last year. Yes, my husband.
