I found these things in my garden hiding under the mint. Not the louse, the circle with the little seeds or eggs inside. I can pull it up, at least part of it, and it's a cone shape, about 3/4" long. Albuquerque, New Mexico.

There's milkweed in the bed with the pentas and they have gone to seed. The dandelion like spores float around in the breeze, this one catching onto the cluster of flowers nearby.
