I’d one free day on a work trip to Dublin last May so we took a spontaneous trip to the cliffs of Moher and Galway.
No phones, no computers, just the pleasure that children enjoy playing together. Such a refreshing experience!

Once in a while I enjoy putting a few drops of food coloring in my oil and water mixture. I'm never assured of what I'll see happening. This image captured the moment two bubbles of green suddenly burst.

A quiet forest scene in the hills of Ariège, France. The ground is bare—just soil and scattered rocks—leading into a stand of tall trees. Some are leafless, others sparse, all softened by a thick morning fog. The mist obscures the background, creating a layered depth and a sense of stillness. No human trace, just the raw geometry of trunks and branches fading into silence. A transitional moment in nature, caught between clarity and disappearance.

A spontaneous street portrait from Edinburgh, Scotland.
Colour graded re-edit of a shot captured during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2017. I failed in my candid portrait attempt but got such a fabulous spontaneous smile that it remains one of my favourite shots from the last few years.
Of course, this image works wonderfully in black and white. but for a colour edit I opted to crop square in order to remove a couple of distracting background colours - it felt like the better option than editing or fading those colours out. Enjoy!
Seen at the Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland racecourse....This jockey was just hanging out near the weigh-in room when I spotted him, and he just naturally posed like we'd arranged the whole meet-up. We never said a word to each other... I guess he's used to attention, as he seemed so comfortable with it. I know nothing about horse racing, so perhaps he's famous, or just friendly and photogenic.

In April 2023, I attended a model photography shoot. The theme was famous Hollywood actors and actresses.
Meet Sarah, a model. Sarah dressed to play Marilyn Monroe. Sarah did a great job of not only dressing and posing like Marilyn, but also acting Marilyn.
I have decided to start the description with one of Marilyn's many quotes and will do so for each portrait that I upload of Sarah playing Marilyn Monroe. I find Marilyn's quotes, poignant and vigorous!! So deep and meaningful were her famous quotes that I truly believe she was referring to the unfortunate life she was living! A woman that was painfully and selfishly exploited by Hollywood producers and directors so that she be a sex symbol for the movies they got her to act in. We all know the toll the forced persona this beautiful woman had to endure to just be a normal woman in this world after a seriously troubled childhood she experienced. We all know what happened to this beautiful woman on 4 August 1962 in her Los Angeles home! Rest in peace Norma Jeane ❤
