A siler birthday and a splosh of heather in the background. From the Peak District a few summers ago...

Last in this series. Looks like Conan is having his own Big Bang and trying to replicate the heavens.

The famous Iron Men are now showing the effects of boldly facing the Irish Sea for over fifteen years now.

The light was my main reason for stopping, changing my shoes and "sploshing" along the delightfully wet sand, taking in the fresh cool air. Covid seemed like a million miles away for an hour or so.

I had some expired half and half in my fridge and thought I'd have some fun with it so I played with shadows and motion today. This started out as coffee but I got carried away. I'm still continuing with my own monochrome challenge. I didn't want the mess in my house so I did it outside on my favorite place to work, my front porch.

SPLISH! SPLASH! SPLOSH!

"EEE!! HAHAHA!

WOOO~~!!

YIIAAAHHH!"

Lucy smiles. The pool festivities are already in high gear and, now, she has arrived.

Her cutest swimsuit. Her ultra fashionable flip-flops. Stylish sunglasses perched strategically on her head. And her brand new innertube.

SPLISH! SPLASH! SPLOSH!

"YAAAA!

HAHAHA!!

OOO-HOOO!!!"

There will be cannonballs into the cool blue water. Beach ball games. Dives to touch the pool floor and back up. And lots, and lots, and LOTS of splashing.

It's summer.

It's the pool.

It's fun time.

You go, Lucy.

1998, Flambro

Flambro is another of our favorite brands for the Peanuts license. We had an account with them when we had our collectibles store and Flambro never failed to delight with their colorful and innovative designs.

This series, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Peanuts (Which occured in 2000), features nine figurines, each of them incredibly cute, such as Lucy here.

This little Robin waits everyday for me to break the ice on my bird bath and put fresh water in! Then it's straight in even though it's been well below freezing outside! 😍

(( taken with my phone camera in 2015 ))

: )

Hello my friends!

This is the fastest I've ever uploaded a new photo after my last one!

Thought I'd try to get some more photos up a bit quicker : )

This new upload was taken near the end of 2015 in November, on what was a very foggy morning.

I actually walked around for hours that morning waiting for the thick fog to lift in some places... just to try and shoot specific areas : )

My waiting paid off as the fog lifted from the canal and left a slight mist floating atop the water.

I must have been having trouble seeing through my old Sony HX60V LCD screen because I had pulled out my camera phone (Galaxy Note 4) and started taking photos with that instead.

To my surprise, a person quietly paddled in front of me in a kayak!

I didn't hear them coming until the last moment... so I tried to line up a shot with my phone and was really surprised with the quality of it afterward : )

Things I personally like about this photo...

It was just one of those magical moments, not prepared at all!

The water being lifted and splashed from the rowing oars : )

The beautiful old Nordic Museum building is in the background! (that building appears in 2 other pictures on my photostream as well!)

I also enjoyed the reflections in the water and the split between smooth & rippled water (from his paddling).

I was happy that the tree branches were reaching over the water and that the rocks on the shore & the mist were all included in this shot... I only had seconds to compose this one as the guy paddled quickly by!

Sometimes we just get lucky : )

I truly hope you guys enjoy this one!

I could write a small book about that specific morning and all the walking, viewing & picture taking I did ; )

Appreciate your support guys & I wish you all a wonderful day ahead!

: )

CRUSH

Splosh, that hit me in the face,

Thwack, and in my belly!

Fizz, that took my wooly hat,

And dripped into my wellies!

I'm determined to try as many things as possible with the new camera, so I've been playing with a bit of strobist lighting, and this is the first attempt. Taken with the flash behind and below the "splash", set at 1/4 power against a black backdrop.

Have to give credit to ICT_Photo for the inspiration in going strobist for this one...

All I have to do know is think of some other ways to make a mess... :))

TOPSHAM WRECK

Amazingly this wreck seems to have been there forever. No attempt to tow away, owners long scarpered off, typical way of wrecks.

But for us snappers it's horrah time, it provides excellent opportunities for fantastic pictures such as this !

Best viewed Large. Poppy & Bella enjoying a run in the vast meadow that surrounds "Bleak House". This is one corner of the field, it takes me 25 minutes to walk the whole way around. It was planted with Oats years ago & the deep ruts were no doubt left by farm machinery. It is now a fabulous area for wildlife & wild flowers HGGT

Even on quiet days the marina wall seems to catch waves and send them hurtling skywards. Made Explore #3. Thanks.

Trying out more sploshing as the overwhelming heat dries everything in seconds. I fell very lost with these two - but posted them in case anyone can help! (Hence the title) I don't know what else to say.....
