“—With me, the present is forever, and forever is always shifting, flowing, melting. This second is life. And when it is gone it is dead. But you can't start over with each new second. You have to judge by what is dead. It's like quicksand...hopeless from the start. A story, a picture, can renew sensation a little, but not enough, not enough. Nothing is real except the present, and already, I feel the weight of centuries smothering me. Some girl a hundred years ago once lived as I do. And she is dead. I am the present, but I know I, too, will pass. The high moments, the burning flash, come and are gone, continuous quicksand. And I don't want to die.”

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES – RONAN KEATING
Live in the present
forgive the past
but do not forget
learn the lessons it gifted to you
move ever forward into the light
of new horizons beckoning
do not look over your shoulder
lest you see the shadows of your former self
clinging to you like dark harbingers of doom
like crows picking at a carcass
stretching out your skin and feasting at an open wound
shed them as a tree in Winter sheds it's leaves
bare yourself to the bone; let your inner core ring true
silhouetted against the sky; stand tall
cast doubts to the four winds and with as many seasons
count your blessings and give thanks for all
you are still here
there is still time to make a difference
it may seem strange to say but what I want
is not to be singled out or highlighted in a hall of dubious fame
but what I wish is to go largely unnoticed beneath the radar
to walk among you with reticence mostly
when I have nothing much to say
and innermost thoughts serve better those around me
or scribe profound messages from time to time
that lift the hearts of those
for whom such words are well-intended
I wish to be small and still and quieter than a mouse
devoted to my art and music and poetry and life itself
in short I wish to clean my house albeit in part metaphorically
possessions of any kind stifle the creativity that lies within me
over-familiarity may breed contempt
or leave us temporarily blind
we come into this life with no expectations
we often leave it with such deep regrets
I want to leave it better than I found it
having enriched the earth and nature and people that I met
of course I am flawed by all the human frailties
that are common to us all
and so I set myself up to fail again and again and again and fall
but surely it is worth the risk of failure
if I can grow with each experience and overcome the pain
for in doing what is always easy
nothing can ever be changed or learned or gained
it is in doing the seemingly impossible
leaving nothing out; no stone unturned
and living life as fully as we can however much remains.
I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
May all your wishes be fulfilled.

Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes.”

Last night I dreamt again of being in the woods, of sitting down against the trunk of an old oak tree and just being still, as still as possible, until my heartbeat became one with that of the tree, and my toes became roots that plunged deep into the earth to where spirit and flesh and bone became part of the igneous processes. Rebirth, transformation, metamorphosis happen in the depths? In the dark. I have never been one who is content to just hover on the surface of things. The surface isn’t where mountain-building takes place... #confinementjournal #confinementart #rebirth #renewal #mypoetry #hope #healing #mystery #wonder #spirituality

We must try to remember everything, every movement, every stretch, every convulsion that made us how we move as we readily grow in our outer body that encompasses the planets, the suns and the moons in every other body that we touch, in every other mouth that we kissed, in every other language that we try to comprehend; for they are not the outside of a stranger, nor are they just images of our psyche, but the very being of ourselves, the dimensional levels of our very existence weaving colours in the tapestry of creation, yet the very non-existence of the template is proof of consciousness, of ascension, of Life.

In this candid moment, a young boy is captured studying between the morning prayers and breakfast at Chorten Ningpo Monastery in Punakha, Bhutan. In an effort to alleviate their families' burdens, impoverished boys willingly enter monastic life. These monasteries provide essential provisions and foster spiritual growth, securing their future. Typically, children in Bhutan enter the monastery around the ages of six to eight, sacrificing a conventional childhood for a life of unwavering devotion and hope - Chorten Ningpo Monastery, Punakha, Bhutan
In Bhutan, young boys from poor families become monks to alleviate their families' burdens. Joining a monastery provides them with food, education, and healthcare, while securing their future and spiritual growth. However, their decision means sacrificing a typical childhood filled with play and enjoyment. Yet, their unwavering devotion and hope for a better future keep them committed to monastic life. As a photographer, I was granted permission to capture images of young monks at Paro Dzong, the administrative seat of Paro district in Bhutan. I spent a morning documenting their daily routines. To express my gratitude for their cooperation, I offered the young monks juices and sweets. Witnessing the joy that such a small gesture brought to these disciplined individuals living rigorous lives was truly heartwarming - Paro Dzong, Paro, Bhutan.

Each of us is an artist. Everyday we create our lives by painting on our mind-body-spirit canvas. Observe your mind. How does your inner artist paint with your thoughts and feelings?
Tame Addiction workshop. A reminder for me to answer these questions for any situation that is bugging me and sending me off to numb myself with vices. It's a really interesting process to see that often we make up stories to fit ourselves rather than be objective and be free from the burden of assuming we're to blame or someone else is to blame!

God's blessing | Introduction
A Narrated Reenactment of a Real-Life Story | "God's True Love"
In order to make a place of her own on this earth, the protagonist was obliged to follow the trends of this world, rushing about and working hard for the sake of fame and status. Her life was particularly empty and painful. After she believed in Almighty God, she found in the words of Almighty God the meaning of human life and, filled with joy, she followed God and fulfilled her duties. However, as her heart was under the control of fame and status, in fulfilling her duties she often acted in accordance with her own ideas, and she was arbitrary and dictatorial. For this reason, she was pruned and dealt with by the brothers and sisters. To begin with, she argued and would not concede. Through the judgment and chastisement of God's words, she came to know the truth of her corruption. However, because she did not understand God's intent, she misunderstood God and thought God would not save her. At this time, God's word little by little enlightened her, guided her, and made her understand God's earnest intention in saving man, and she experienced God's true love of mankind …
The other bits and baubles of the room. Working Rune set there, Ouiji Board is just for show and the clock there is not a clock, but a Moon Counter. Tells me how full the Moon is, whether or not it is a special Moon, etc. It is quite awesome and you can get it from Candle & Cauldron! :D

We celebrate Rosh Hashanah with sweet foods, like apples dipped in honey and honey cake, as a wish for a sweet year. Some families also celebrate with symbolic foods like the head of a fish, pomegranates, and carrots.
The head of a fish is so that we can be "like the head and not like the tail." This is a symbol of having a year in which we are on top and not the bottom. Pomegranates are symbolic of plenty. Have you ever tried to count how many seeds there are in a pomegranate? Far too many to count. We want plenty of health and happiness for the New Year, just as many good things as there are seed in a pomegranate.
We also eat carrots, and it isn't just to see better in the dark. For Ashkenazi Jews, carrots symbolize the Yiddish word "merren" which also means more. We want more of all the good things in life. More health, more happiness, more success. For Sephardic Jews, carrots are symbolic of the phrase "Yikaretu oyveychem" which means may your enemies be cut down. We ask that those who wish bad for us not get their wish, that they don't succeed.
And of course, we have round Challot made with honey and raisins. These are another symbol of a sweet and happy year. We put decorations on the Challot, such as birds (symbolizing doves of peace).
Rosh Hashanah starts on the first day of Tishrei and lasts two days. Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the Yamim Noraim or Days Of Awe, the ten days of atonement.
On Rosh Hashanah, all mankind is judged. HaShem writes the judgment for each of us in the Book of Life. This judgment is based on our lives of the year before, and is the decision of what will happen to us in the coming year.
But the judgment is not final. The days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur give us a time to change the judgment for good. We are given the chance to improve our coming year through Teshuvah (asking forgiveness), Tefillah (prayer), and Tzedakah (charity).
On Rosh Hashanah we wish each other "L'Shanah Tovah Tikatevuh" may you be written in for a good year. But Rosh HaShanah is not the end of the judgment, it is only on Yom Kippur that our judgment is made final.

Everyone in the Universe will be judged this coming Tuesday and Wednesday.
Each person's judgement for the coming year is inscribed in the "Book of Life." One's judgement is not sealed until Yom Kippur, the Day of Return and Repentance, the following week. It's amazing how that ten days can lead to so much really focused thinking. I'm praying for me, my family , and my friends, for all our government officials, and for the lots and lots of good people everywhere. We can easily cover the known universe that way...;)) Yes, exponentials are very powerful...;))
