Younus AlGohar explains how he embarked on the spiritual path under Lord Ra Riaz's auspicious mentorship.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIqw61_Ewf0
Main points:
- An overwhelming majority of people believe in a religion just because they inherited those beliefs, not because they have a purpose in mind. When you want to buy a television, you compare prices and brands before committing to one product. Why not take this approach to religion?
- Lord Ra Riaz Gohar Shahi regarding those who came to Him wishing to obtain God's love, said, 'I'll initiate their hearts. If God accepts them, I vow to be with them as a guiding light until they reach their destination.'
- If you want to have access to the realm of angels, you need to enlighten and awaken the corresponding soul inside your body.
- The heart can act like a divine telephone between man and God. Lord Ra Riaz said, 'When you become a friend of God and you are in trouble, God will instantly know that you are in trouble. When you're in trouble, the voice of your heart has a hint of sadness when it reaches God. God then commands angels to help you before you raise hands in prayer.
- The only difference between good and bad, God and the Devil, people of Imam Mehdi and people of Dajjal (Antichrist) - is spiritual knowledge. If you have knowledge of the exterior without the knowledge of interior, you will definitely be corrupted in your mind and heart.
- The only thing that will protect your faith is spirituality. Without it, it doesn’t make a difference whether you are a Shia, Sunni or Wahhabi.

QuoteoftheDay 'If you take revenge, you are causing great harm to yourself because it will strengthen your Ego.' - His Holiness Younus AlGohar
I had been in silence for a number of weeks. When I came back, the world seemed like a different place, even after such a short time.
At that time, it was easy to see thru the words, facial expressions, and body language. Some were ready to play tag with their anger, eager to pass it on to the next person. Others, not knowing their own hearts, were like dried leaves blowing in the wind. I remember though, I had to be careful of the first words I spoke...
“Could you pass me the honey, please?”

"Have you seen what work God will accomplish in this group of people? God said, even in the Millennial Kingdom people must still follow His utterances onward, and in the future God’s utterances will yet directly guide man’s life in the good land of Canaan. When Moses was in the wild, God instructed and spoke to him directly. From heaven God sent food, water, and manna for the people to enjoy, and today it is still thus: God has personally sent down things to eat and drink for people to enjoy, and He has personally sent curses to chastise people. And so every step of His work is personally carried out by God. Today, people long for the occurrence of facts, they try to see signs and wonders, and it is possible that all such people will be abandoned, for the work of God is becoming increasingly real. No one knows that God has descended from heaven, they are still unaware that God has sent down food and tonics from heaven—yet God actually exists, and the warm scenes of the Millennial Kingdom that people imagine are also the personal utterances of God. This is fact, and only this is ruling with God on earth. Ruling with God on earth refers to the flesh. That which is not of the flesh is not on earth, and thus all those who focus on going to the third heaven do so in vain. One day, when the entire universe returns to God, the center of His work throughout the cosmos will follow the voice of God; elsewhere, some people will phone, some will take a plane, some will take a boat across the sea, and some will use lasers to receive the utterances of God. Everyone will be adoring, and yearnful, they will all come close to God, and congregate toward God, and will all worship God—and all of this will be the deeds of God. Remember this! God will never start again elsewhere. God will accomplish this fact: He will make all people throughout the universe come before Him, and worship the God on earth, and His work in other places will cease, and people will be forced to seek the true way. It will be like Joseph: Everyone came to him for food, and bowed down to him, for he had things to eat. In order to avoid famine people will be forced to seek the true way. The entire religious community is starving, and only the God of today is the wellspring of living water, possessed of the ever-flowing wellspring provided for the enjoyment of man, and people will come and depend on Him. That will be the time when the deeds of God are revealed, and God is glorified; all people throughout the universe will worship this unremarkable “man.” Will this not be the day of God’s glory? One day, old pastors will send telegrams seeking the water from the wellspring of living water. They’ll be elderly, yet still they will come to worship this man, whom they despised. In their mouths they will acknowledge and in their hearts they will be trusting—and is this not a sign and wonder? When the whole kingdom rejoices is the day of God’s glory, and whoever comes to you and receives God’s good news will be blessed by God, and these countries and these people will be blessed and cared for by God. The future direction will be thus: Those who gain the utterances from God’s mouth will have a path to walk on earth, and be they businessmen or scientists, or educators or industrialists, those who are without God’s words will have a hard time taking even a single step, and will be forced to seek the true way. This is what is meant by, “With the truth you’ll walk the entire world; without the truth, you’ll get nowhere.” The facts are thus: God will use the Way (which means all of His words) to command the whole universe and govern and conquer mankind. People are always hoping for a great turn in the means by which God works. To speak plainly, it is through words that God controls people, and you must do what He says[a] whether you wish to or not; this is an objective fact, and must be obeyed by all, and so, too, is it inexorable, and known to all.” from “The Millennial Kingdom Has Arrived”

Introduction
Today I come before God again, I see His lovely face.
Today I come before God again, I’ve left my wandering past behind.
Today I come before God again, enjoying His word fills me with joy.
Today I come before God again, my heart has so much to say.
It’s His tender words that water and nourish me to grow up.
It’s His stern words that encourage me to stand up again.
Oh God! We can praise You for You have raised us!
We can sing to You today all because of Your blessing and mercy.
Oh God, You truly love us so! You make us relish Your words every day!
Oh God, You truly love us so! You enlighten us every day!
Oh God, You truly love us so! You water and nourish Your people.
You lead us away from Satan’s influence.
Brothers and sisters! Hurry and rise! Let’s praise our God!
Let’s cherish how He’s gathered us here today.
Be free from all burdens of the flesh! Praise onto Almighty God earnestly!
Fulfill our duty with all our heart and might, show our love for God with action.
We will love You forever, almighty true God!

In this first book by Caroline Myss, she is very organized and clearly describes what the path of spiritual development typically looks like. She gives her own story of how she became a medical intuitive and it is her experiences with people who came to her workshops and to her consultations that give live examples to flesh out the concepts expressed in the teachings.
Bringing together the Hindu teachings of the Chakras, the seven Christian sacraments and the mystical interpretation of the ten sefirot from Judaism—the Tree of Life—the Kabbalah, she describes the seven levels of the human energy system and the seven stages of human development, the classic hero's journey. (It's a little confusing to attempt to hang with all three since I knew nothing of the Kabbalah, but I did find the Chakras and the sacraments easy to follow. There are others, but these are the ones she is familiar with.)
She also adds a little background on where we are as a culture (American culture presumably). During the '60s we left the homogenous tribal nature of the '50s and delved into the human potential movement, during which we learned to excavate personal revelations of a psychological nature, elevating these revelations to a gold standard for intimate conversation among peers. Thus we learned to become fluent in "woundology", to describe ourselves, and embraced such emotional wounds as part of our identity i.e. "I am an incest survivor". Psychotherapy, she notes, is a form of confession.
In order to move on from this self-victimization stage of development, we have to take responsibility for our spiritual development by moving past this blaming of others for what's missing in our lives and develop a relationship with the Divine. For, if we are to give up our fears and this is absolutely necessary for spiritual development, we must have company we can rely on (this is usually said to be our own self, but here is elevated to our own self plus the Divine).
"Putting faith in fear generates destructive results", she comments, "beginning with the disintegration of our ability to relate confidently to the external world." This explains why going into business for oneself requires fearlessness which is in turn part of having high self-esteem. She points out that "low self esteem reflects one's lack of faith in oneself as well as in the powers of the unseen world". Thus she makes the connection between a belief in unseen guidance and high self esteem. I have joked that there are no atheist entrepreneurs so this might well be true, but she dose not talk about those who do not believe. Presumably if you don't believe in unseen help, you are not going to read this book.
I was also intrigued by her comments that "pilgrimage is extroverted mysticism, just as mysticism is introverted pilgrimage". Having completed my pilgrimage to the ancient sites of England I can now see how I am going within to complement that journey, (forced to actually by Catherine's medical crisis).
"Meeting the self activates the transformation of human consciousness," she states. So there you are, the more people come to see the truth about themselves, the better chance we have of transforming the culture.
She talks about the necessity of becoming detached especially in the face of crisis. For some this detachment is a life long pursuit — it seems to be the focus of American Buddhism. "Detachment does not mean ceasing to care. It means stilling one's fear driven voices," she clarifies. Once we do that we are living in the moment and can better hear and be guided by what our intuition is telling us. (This part not usually mentioned in Buddhism.) And speaking of intuition, she clarifies that intuition is not prophecy, it is the guidance we are getting in real time. This is the part I love about travel that I am trying to bring home.
The job of the mystic, as described by her teachings, is to, not only get in touch with the Divine, but be in touch with this guidance most of the time — morning, noon, and night. Now most of the secular population is not going to go easily from the spiritual candy of synchronicity that is so exploited in New Age literature, to a full blown, old fashioned prayerful relationship to God in the Christian sense.
But I don't mind hearing it from this former smoker and hard boiled, coffee drinking, New York journalist telling me this is the way, because she has revealed the logic behind the teachings. That this is how energy medicine—the life force as we embody it in human form—works. And you can dress it up in whatever religious tradition you like—talking animals and what have you. And because she talks about how this is what you must do to pick up the skills of intuition, it doesn't sound so much like you found God, but that you are just studying a new trade.

We Are In Transit
Poem
We step forward.
Each step stirs dust into the air.
The dry, shifting evening air.
The sun is neither fully risen nor a witness.
A silent guardian.
Beginnings and endings, both here and just.
At this hour.
And yet shared.
This is where time unravels.
Where place dissolves and where movement lingers without.
No words, no destination.
This is the place.
This is the sacred space.
Each step cannot ignore faith.
Where time unravels.
Where movement lingers without end.
A witness, a silent guardian.
Beginnings and endings.
Both here in distance.
The burden we carry is more than we thought.
It is more than it is more than distance.
It's the stories waiting to be uncovered.
And the bond we strengthen along the way.
Unanswered questions.
Deferred dreams.
The hope, the hope of arrival, leads us forward.
At this threshold, we are neither lost nor found.
We walk in the in-between.
Each step whispers.
Here we are.
Here we are in the middle, in the middle and transit towards our becoming.
