Yet another lovely turkish spindle from the Spanish Peacock. This one has a lignum vitae shaft & a flame alder whorl.

Amboyna burr, sycamore and walnut 16oz spindle handmade by IST Crafts. Shown overloaded with 50g of merino, mostly spun on my student spindle.
I've been freaking out my colleagues again this dinnertime, creeping about the office with my camera! The natural light coming in through an open door into the stairwell was quite magical on the turned spindles of the staircase.

This is a 2-ply charkha-spun yarn, plied on the Cascade Zebrawood Tiger Spindle. The fiber comes from my own pet German-cross angora, Delilah
