Not only bare-assed, I went for the full-on nude, with tastefully placed chair spindles. You're welcome. (Several of the belfies are for Husband's eyes only! Didn't realize belfies could so quickly fall into... suggestion!)

'GOLDEN SPINDLES OR NOT GOLDEN SPINDLES, THAT IS THE QUESTION.' (2)
I was informed at the time these were Golden Spindles, despite lacking the characteristic pointed tips. They were a mature cluster and in prime condition. You can see that the largest fruiting body was very wide, flattened and had deep longitudinal grooves. Another was developing it's reddish-brown tip.
They don’t look very 'spindle-like' and I've never been completely convinced by their identification. They’ve sat in a file for over two years now and since photographing them I've searched field guides and web sites, but found no match. I can't find any alternative species either.
Any thoughts and suggestions welcomed.

If you like rock features then here's an impressive one along the Fife Coastal Path below yet another golf course. Despite this being quite a prominent feature of the walk between St. Andrews and Boarhills, there doesn't seem to be many photos of this amazing stack online.
Of course, just taking a photo of the rock would be boring so I made sure to find a pool of water in which to get some reflections. I then climbed up the smaller, greyer rock for the fun of it. I decided to have my lunch up there. I wonder how this photo would look if I'd come here at sunset? I guess it depends on the wind and the tides.
Sommeren er gået på hæld og efteråret, er på trods af skønne lune dage også begyndt at give lidt køligere morgner. Det gør at mange af vores små sværmere & insekter søger mod steder der er lidt lunere. På ét af de steder, i min overdækning, sidder en af de sidste dages “hellige” og tager godt imod de fortabte.
Det er den flotteste Korsedderkop jeg har set i år og så sidder den ovenikøbet lige i ansigtshøjde når jeg åbner døren…. hvergang jeg åbner…. så tror den er glad for at være der og får selvfølgelig lov til det :-)
Jeg kalder den for “The White Thin Duke” pga de forskelligt farvede øjne :-)
Korsedderkoppen hører til hjulspindere og er meget variable i grundfarven, og kan være være sort, brun, grå, rød, gul eller grønlig. Den er vidt udbredt i hele Danmark og du har sikkert fået dens spind i hovedet flere gange :-) Vi ser den sent på sommeren og tidligt om efteråret.
Hjulspindets tråde er meget klæbrige, så når insekterne først har været i berøring med spindet, kan de ikke komme fri. Når et insekt bliver fanget i spindet, skynder korsedderkoppen sig ud af sit skjul og sprøjter en dødbringende gift ind i byttet, hvorefter byttedyret pakkes ind i silketråde. Først herefter begynder den at udsuge sit bytte.
Når parringstiden er inde, nærmer hannen sig forsigtigt hunnen. Hvis han er uheldig, fanges han af hunnen efter parringen og ædes. :-)
A british native - the Spindle Tree. At this time of year with the leaves having fallen the pink and orange fruit stand out even more. If only a colourful bird could have perched amongst that lot.

Spindle point, at sunrise on a bitter cold 10°F February morning. Located on Meredith Neck, next to Weirs Beach, on Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith, New Hampshire.
A bit of history: The land was purchased in 1901 by Colonel Charles Cummings, who was a 33-degree Mason. Purchased for a mere $3,000, the Colonel intended to leave the Spindle Point - 500 acre Farm to the New Hampshire Grand Lodge of Masons for a Masonic home, but the cost was far too excessive for the fraternity. The land was eventually sold to developers. Colonel Cummings built this observatory tower for his two daughters, who were aspiring artists.
Leave it to me, an aspiring photographer, to take a bit of a daring shot like this one. The land is on private property, so to capture this image, I walked across Meredith Bay on the glare ice. Maybe a kayak in the summer would have been easier :)
