The first Monday of October is World Day of Bullying Prevention. This happens in schools, online, and even here on Flickr and SL. This post was inspired by Dax's song Joker.

So what's your excuse, what helps you sleep?

You leave a negative comment

Not knowing that what you sow, you will reap

I bet you smile when you post, thinking you're hurting me

But you see the way the brain works

You become what you speak

I need peace, but y'all can't offer that

I held my ground, I didn't sell my soul

I said f the fame, y'all can't take that offer back

F a shelf, you can't take me off the rack

All the fame is not worth a heart attack

You're insane, you're in pain, I can tell by what you're saying

But my bad, I forgot you were fragile

I forgot someone who doesn't even know me told you I'm an ahole

I forgot that I'm a villain

I forgot that I've always spread positivity, but you think I didn't

I forgot that hatred stems from people who hate their own existence

I forgot I'm better off alone

I forgot I care for everyone's happiness, but forget about my own

I forget I spend every waking second on my phone-

Come join my circus, I'm recruiting

I'm taking everyone who passes judgement

Bitch, that's including everyone who thinks it's so amusing

To put me down while I'm pursuing

The keyboard warriors that live online

Behind a screen that's just an illusion

Come, come, come, come join my circus

I have no idea what is in this shop - it's in downtown Circleville, OH. I was able to get a shot with no cars parked in front!

Series: Walks through Berlin from Potsdamer Platz up to somewhere

The trees stand like sentinels, silent, skeletal, and unmoved. Beyond them, the mountains rise in shadow, cloaked in mist and memory. The sky is thick with cloud, but it’s not the weather that weighs heavy, it’s the presence. Light barely filters through, casting no warmth, only warning. This is not a trail. It’s a threshold. The kind of place where names are forgotten and footsteps echo longer than they should. The forest doesn’t speak. It listens. And the ridge, distant and dark, watches without blinking.

Song

This grizzly yearling sticks its tongue out as it stands on a rock below Brooks Falls. That water has to be very cold and I wonder if the bear is displaying its displeasure by doing this.

Taken 15 July 2021 at Brooks Falls, Alaska.

I took this while driving back from Monarch Pass with my buddy, Greg. We went there for a long weekend. I drove to Black Canyon when Greg snowboarded, and on the last day, we snowshoed together:

I have about nine friends who've build houses in my heart, and each of their hearts has a beauty incomparable to the others. Funny coincidence, my friend, Kat, got her space on that trip.

Greg's is as simple as life itself. With him, I am always in my own world, but not alone. And I feel the same goes for him. We travel together in the least intrusive form one can think of. We allow each other freedom and space in a way nobody knows how to. But I digress. Back to karma.

Being agnostic, I have never used karma in any other form but metaphoric. What I mean is that I enjoy that part that doing good brings you goodness, but I have never thought of it in a vengeful way. It's the most decent way of thinking from the heart, I think.

I was driving on our way back, so naturally, I didn't pay much attention to the light around. Greg noticed it in some remote rural area and pointed it out without asking me to stop. But I decided to exit and stop because I saw how much my friend enjoyed it. It was beautiful. To this day, I don't know whether Greg took a photo that was up to his expectations, but I managed to click my shutter five times, and this one is cool enough to post it here.

Yeah, in terms of karma, gorgeous Colorado did it for me here in the US and my friends worldwide in earthly terms. Only if you can see their beautiful hearts.

When you speak my name it don’t matter to me

Where you place your blame it don’t matter to me

Oh where could you be walking to it don’t matter to me

Where do you go to?

You waded out, you waded out The sea calls back to you

You waded out, you waded out The sea calls back to you

Take my wicked heart it don’t matter to me

Turn my twisted words it don’t matter to me

Oh what are you here waiting for it don’t matter to me

Where do you go to you don’t matter to me

You waded out, you waded out The sea calls back to you

You waded out, you waded out

The sea calls back to you

To you

To you

You waded out, you waded out

The sea calls back to you

You waded out, you waded out The sea calls back to you

You waded out, oh yes you waded out

The restless sea calls back to you

Oh yes you waded out, oh yes you waded out

The sea calls back to you

As if we don't get enough mushrooms in the yard, Becky likes to add a few in the flower beds as well... :)

Yeah, that's a flower bed. Yeah, it's full of weeds. Yeah, it's too damned hot to get out there. I'm old. Give me a break.

hey just close the door

think back and just ignore

hey just close your eyes

think back and realize

what makes you think that it's okay?

don't start it off until real late

take the job but not the pay

forget the hours but not the day

hey just close your eyes

think back and realize

hey just close the door

back up and just ignore

Sorry, but unexpected KCS M train from Kansas City + sunny day = another gratuitous Arch shot. Won't last forever, as we all know, and time has taken its toll on that paint already.
