at the australia chamber of commerce meeting...a raffle to support the flood relief efforts in australia; this ticket was a loser, but made a good frame (and helps the cause to the tune of 20,000W). the oof elements in this one add just enough to make the negative space in this one not seem TOO negative and add a bit of interest to the eye as its makes its way round the image. nothing special, but i think a fair example of utilizing a scenes depth to fill a frame...at least in my opinion. looking forward to seeing some bokeh shots! bring it on spc members!
Raptor Soldier Spotlight: Spc. Kan Skinner is an AH-64 Attack Helicopter Repairer assigned to Task Force Tigershark, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 7th Infantry Division currently deployed in support of US Forces Afghanistan. He hails from City of Olathe, KS Government, and is a graduate of Olathe Northwest High School. Skinner's supervisors say he is a hardworking maintainer, who is always willing to help to ensure mission accomplishment.

SPC Alison Weisz is a U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit International Rifle Team member. She competes in both 10m Air Rifle and 50m Three-Position Smallbore Rifle. Prior to joining the U.S. Army, Weisz earned a spot on Team USA for the 2021 Olympic Games in the Women's 10m Air Rifle event.

in other news, i said goodbye to my blog of some three and a half years yesterday. it was a fond farewell.
looking back through the archives, i have enjoyed reminiscing about all the inspiring self portrait challenges i have taken part in over the years. so many good vibes shared.
i plan to rethink/revamp/relocate my blog presence over the next while.
or maybe not... at least that would leave more online time for Flickr!
