Punch - March 13th 1946

Decided to try some Korean DPK nickel spark plugs. Very cheap on Aliexpress. So far they are performing quite nicely. Will be swapped with Iridiums in the end, but wanted to give them a try. If the fuel economy is the same/better, then they are a viable option.

Latimer Reef Light, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is a sparkplug lighthouse on Latimer's Reef in Fishers Island Sound. The lighthouse is located one mile northwest of East Point on Fisher's Island, Suffolk County, NY. Originally called Latemore's Reef after James Latemore. Latimer Reef Light was completed in 1884. It sits in 18 feet of water at the western end offshore of Fisher's Island Sound. The light includes a 30-foot-diameter (9.1 m) cylindrical caisson foundation painted brown. The caisson is filled with concrete and surrounded by riprap. This foundation supports a 46 foot cast iron superstructure that includes a four-story conical tower topped by a one-story cylindrical watch room and decagonal lantern. The tower, watch room and lantern are painted white with a brown stripe a full story tall around the tower's third story. In 2008, the U S Secretary of the Interior identified Latimer Reef Light Station as surplus and required it to be maintained in accordance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation.

The lighthouse is a 47 ft round sparkplug cast iron tower with lantern room and two galleries. It is the oldest sparkplug type tower and the first caisson lighthouse built in the United States.

The light has a focal plane of 35 ft and a range of 6 miles. Automated in 1964.

Hog Island Shoal Light, built in 1901, is a sparkplug lighthouse on a shoal off of Hog Island. It is located about 600 feet southeast of the island at the entrance to Mount Hope Bay. It stands on a circular concrete foundation set in about 10 feet of water and rising about six feet above the water line. It was built to replace a light ship and was the last light station formally established in the state. The lighthouse was automated in 1964. In 1988 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. In 2006 the lighthouse was auctioned by the General Services Administration as government surplus to a private buyer. Transformers Armada Optimus Prime is something I've been wanting to try and build with Lego since late 2017/early 2018. Back then, the available parts at the time meant that building it up to my standards of articulation with reasonable stability would have been borderline impossible. So I ended up shelving the project for several years while I practiced building other things. This was BEFORE it was announced that a new Armada Prime Transformer toy was in the works.

Fast forward to last year, 2022. Lego started producing new ratchet joint parts that were more compact of multiple sizes. Combined with the re-emergence of Armada Transformer toys, I was re-inspired, and knew my time was now to get this project done. I'd had a lot of time to think about it, so I started tinkering with the build, this time fully intent on finishing the project.

I have a tendency to be a perfectionist, which causes me to over-stress over the details. I wanted it ALL out of this Lego MOC: A fully functional Armada Optimus Prime figure with truck cab and trailer, cab robot and and base mode, and most importantly the super mode combination. All with the most articulation I could manage, with all necessary features, accessories, and even both Minicons! The only thing I wasn't worried about was the motorized gimmicks lol, because as cool as the original leader class toy was, I still wished it had knees.

Thank the Lord Jesus, after a year of building, and the last month preparing a video to showcase it (a kind that I had never done before, plus I hate the sound of my own voice lol), it is FINALLY DONE. The project is now complete!

The Armada version of Optimus Prime is a bit obscure these days, but the original deluxe-class figure was my first ever Transformer, and I have fond memories of it, so I'll never forget it. I hope that those who recognize it will like this Lego version! I'm glad to have finally gotten it done.

Is this where all the stolen scooter/motorcycle spark plugs are going these days? I thought it was the crack addicts. Oh wait, I'm not trying to insinuate this sculptor/artist is a...

Scanned from an old matchbook I found in my parents' den.

Pictures of the West Bank Light from on board the Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas at the beginning of our week-long cruise. The West Bank Light is a sparkplug lighthouse that dates from 1901 and is in the Lower New York Bay. It serves as the front range light with the Staten Island Lighthouse serving as the rear range. This guided ships into the Ambrose Channel. I was able to see a number of lighthouses in New York Harbor this trip. On board the Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas for the Seven Night Labadee & Puerto Plata Cruise (November 6th through 13th, 2022). The cruise embarks from Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ) with stops at Labadee, Haiti and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic before heading back to New York City. The itinerary changed after Hurricane Nicole canceled our planned stops.

Life - March 11th 1940

My Golf is one of a batch with the piston rings fitted upside down - or is that a web rumour? See how the gap between the insulator & body is almost full of gunge! (after 12,000 miles - 2 years).

Conimicut Light at entrance to Providence River

I miss San Francisco and NorCal...then again I don't !

We have free parking here where we live now...

No screamin' sirens 24/7, no crackheads snappin' off the tops of my sparkplugs on my motorcycle to make crack pipes....no junkies beggin' for the loose change...no traffic jams, no high occupancy vehicle lanes...no waiting on the damn elevator....

Miss the friends, people that well they are really cool and good too ! Chinatown, North Beach Beach, sitting out on the porch 26 stories up pointing laser pointers on the sidewalk freakin' people out...oh the fun we used to have.

Going to the HAPPY DONUT corner of Kearney and Columbus good Khmer people own that little joint....Bouncin' knotheads that came into the club lookin' to make trouble...walkin' my girls to the car makin' sure they got in safely...

Our nearset neighbors here in L.A. {Lower Arknsas} are deer, birds, squirrel, rabbit, a horse the neighboors dog...we can't see our nearest human neighbor when all the leaves are off the trees....we do have pesky red wasps, fire ants, and a few other undesirables.

Changed the spark plugs in the Solstice to Bosch Platinum. Big difference! Video of the dogs.
