This was my first dusk launch, and i have to say it was the prettiest one yet. The setting sun was hitting it just right to make it look like the trail was glowing on its own.

I worked the launch in Mission Control. It was my 5th launch. I'm a veteran now. ;)

Was sitting at gate E-64 in the Tampa Airport when the shuttle launched. For all those naysayers that think the shuttle isn't visible from Tampa, well, here's proof! That's gate E-62 and the Tampa Mariott Hotel in the foreground.
