yesterday cominig home from the konzerthaus I saw the stickers. that was the only reason for getting out of bed early today, so that the woman from palmers did not have a opportunity to remove them. stickers also seen in the versions "homophobia" and "racicsm". i like.
Space Invader Stickers
A very sweet present from Stewart. He ordered me a pack of 2 x 10 vinyl stickers in the Space Shop.
Now I can invade my own place! :-)
Thank you Stewart!
An interesting concept that occurred to me. Space Invader + Octopus = total world domination?
Sorry for the blurry photo, dang cameraphone.

These are a rough peek at two of the four broadsides produced by my first student resident, Natalie Azzopardi. The images are composed from hand-set metal type ornaments and wood type. She's had a lot of fun!
We'll be selling the broadsides very soon from www.ampersandduck.com...
Space invader mosaic graffiti.
Jasmine spotted these wherever we went in Paris. Perhaps our relative heights means she is more likely to spot things up high (she tends to be looking up), where I would have certainly spotted any space invader sidewalk mosaics. (there weren't any)

This moving space invader is moving sidewards from Rue Petit to Rue G. Auric. It's there for years and still in very good shape. No graffiti, no single tile broken. The way we want it!
Date of invasion: 28/02/1999

After many years without a doormat, I finally decided to join my neighbors and placed one in front of my door.
I almost went with a Barcode, or City Manhole Cover doormat but decided to ape my neighbor who has a small rubber brush doormat.
In its generic state, the doormat looks pretty boring. Fortunately the rubber pellets look like a grid of pixels and after some thought I decided on cutting some Space Invaders aliens into it.
Consideration was also given to Pac-Man and a Super Mario scene (that would have been painted on).
This Super Mario Goomba (http://kotaku.com/gaming/top/the-goomba-doormat-195322.php) mat is pretty sweet though, perhaps I should have gone for a Goomba or a Koopa Turtle. Next time...
San Diego.
My friend, Leo, has spotted quite a few invaders on his travels.
