*Zeit der Aussaat*

Another picture from a beautiful morning in mid-April.

Mende, Lozère, France

is where one is taken while gazing into the eyes of an animal such as this.

This is mama to the 3 littles you have seen so much of here since my last trip in Sept.

When I see her, I wonder if she was brought here to the camp area to fish with her mom when she was little? Chances are very good that she was. Does she maybe remember me?, my scent? Does she realize that I'm of no threat?

I guess I would like to think so but that may be way beyond the realm of reality. But it's a nice thought anyway.

View large and get a deep look into her eyes. See how it makes you feel.

This was cropped a tiny bit. There was a bit of unnecessary

space to the right of the sow. So I just took some off.

She is an extraordinarily beautiful animal.

She and her two cubs were resting in a shaded area behind this dead tree. Before she allowed the cubs to come out, she wanted to make sure it was safe to do so.

BTW, I was on the opposite side of the creek so I was not in any danger,,,,,

Van Gogh said: " I work as diligently on my canvases as the laborers do in their fields."

The sower in particular was a figure that Van Gogh saw in terms of representing the eternal cycle of agricultural life, of honorable endeavor and tradition, and symbolized these qualities to the artist. The sun was also a symbolic element for Van Gogh, and in many of these paintings, it shines with an unearthly luminescence.

Sleeping Beauty. There were quite a few Sanderlings on the jetty this day. Most were running around, but this Sanderling was taking a nap pretty close to us. The light was soft and I though a portrait was appropriate.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit will reap eternal life."

Walking across a gravel beach, a sow polar bear walks away from the photographer. Not sure where she was off to but it was a great way to end a day.

Looking for Salmon, the sun had went behind the clouds creating a pleasing light. She is one of the Oldest sows in the Lake Clark Ecosystem.

I had just finished photographing birds in the backyard, and went inside to download my photos, when my wife yelled for me to get the camera because there was a black bear raiding the bird feeders.

The bear emptied them both, and after I got a few pictures, I got a long stick and chased her out of the area.

That was my excitement for the day!

This beautiful Grizzly Bear was working her way through a meadow eating dandelions. She had a cub with her and it was raining which didn't seem to bother them at all.

Shugborough Estate was owned by the Bishops of Lichfield until the dissolution of the monasteries, upon which it passed through several hands before being purchased in 1624 by William Anson, a local lawyer and ancestor of the Earls of Lichfield.

The light was terrible as it was pouring rain, and this Grizzly Bear (Sow) was gorging herself on dandelions.

The River Sow is a tributary of the River Trent in Staffordshire. Between 1816 and the 1920s, the section between Stafford and Baswich was navigable, and was known as the River Sow Navigation.

The river flows past Shugborough Hall.

I see through wild natures eye

A lake so wide, a sky so high

I see blue, i see light

I see beauty shining bright

Looking through wild natures eye

I watch the clouds slowly fly

I see the waves, rise and flow

What wild magic they now sow

I see the beauty of this land

Sculpted by creations hand

Painting blue, the lake and sky

That i see through natures eye
