Thanks so much all My Flickr Friends The Comments & Faves..... ;-)
Here's a more colorful version of the South Sister panorama I took last month. It seems like ages ago, especially now that we've gotten some warm sunny weather again. I was hoping for a slightly different angle, but the slope was hard to navigate. It's a lot steeper between me and the water than it appears.
Another picture taken on Monday evening 17 June above the small village of Eartham on the South Downs NW of Chichester in West Sussex. The village is to the right outside the picture. The footpath leading up to the hill to the field starts opposite the Church. This poppy field has the rare and ideal feature of a poppy field with a footpath going right through the middle making various viewpoints legally obtainable. The footpath follows a vehicle or tractor path which has not been used in a long time. The land between the 2 wheel tracks has poppies growing in the middle quite tall and these are on the bottom right of the image. I got a low down for a better composition. The beautiful sky and golden hour light were ideal
The picture was taken handheld with a Sony A68 with a with a Sigma 10-20mm lens at mm. 3 images for HDR. The image was processed with Photomatix 6 using Fusion Natural setting for a realistic look. In Photomatix I directed the program with a selection to treat the poppies as moving because of the wind and difference between the 3 shots. For the combining process I choose the 0EV image to be used for the poppies. The other processing was Topaz Clarity and DeNoise. A selective brightness adjustment layer was used to bring more light into the shadows.

A westbound South Shore Freight was lit up at Beverly Shores at the end of a really productive day in Indiana.
Thanks go out to a cavalcade of pin-pricked elitists for the heads ups and updates throughout the day.
Southerness Lighthouse near Dumfries in Scotland under an unusual stormy sky full of amazing colour and cloud formation. Bad weather was moving in so time to make a move.
It is one of the oldest lighthouses built. It stands 10m high and was built in 1749.
The Great South Wall (also sometimes called the South Bull Wall), at the Port of Dublin, extends from Ringsend nearly four miles out into Dublin Bay. It was the world's longest sea-wall at the time of its building and remains one of the longest in Europe.

The sun was setting behind a overcast sky with just a glimpse of the light shining through a tiny gap. I thought this made for a descent backdrop to the lighthouse when it flashed its light.
Along the front at Aldeburgh in Suffolk, which is a town full of beautiful architecture and an unspoilt and uncrowded beach.
Sun rising above tree line in Upstate South Carolina (near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains). This is similar to a previous capture I uploaded but this one is tighter, earlier, and at a slightly different angle.
A southbound Southern Railway manifest works past the small yard in Lynchburg, Virginia on a hazy July day.

Looking across South London from the roof terrace at the Tate Modern during a cold evening.
I'm planning to make a photo video in the next month or so, and upload it to Youtube, if you'd like to watch it, then subscribe to Sights and Scenes. It would be great to see some of you over on Youtube too.
In this area many moons ago, the Moa roamed freely. A flightless native bird of New Zealand now extinct, standing over 3 metres tall. The Moa were a great food source for the indigenous Maori and Moriori people of New Zealand and their bones were used for tools.
South Canterbury, New Zealand
One of Scotland’s oldest lighthouses, built in 1749 decommissioned in 1936. The light was so harsh due to our unseasonably hot weather (not complaining) so mono was the best I could come up with! I’ll play with others but not hopeful. Here’s a link for the history of it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southerness_Lighthouse happy Monday folks xx
Was a peaceful evening this past July on the beach at South Have. Seemed people were relaxed and able to forget about the crazy of this past year and let the sound of the waves wash away all stress and anxiety. #southhavenmichigan #beachsunset #lakemichigan #beachlife #puremichigan
A pretty little street with a nice name in Uppingham. Again not quite focussed with the viewing and taking lenses not being quite aligned properly.

Shot of the South Llano River at South Llano River State Park in Junction, Texas. Unique almost turquoise-colored water. Very scenic place!
I saw these two weathered farm buildings just sitting off the highway. Of course I had to stop and take their photo. There is something about old farm buildings that I really like. Especially when they have a lean to them. This one leans to the south which tells me it has survived many northern winter winds.
