Des femmes puisent de l'eau dans une source d'eau polluée à Imbokolo, une ville située à l’extrême nord-est de la République démocratique du Congo, dans la province de l'Ituri, non loin de la frontière sud-soudanaise. Imbokolo, comme de nombreuses autres localités dans la région, a accueilli de nombreux réfugiés sud-soudanais fuyant les affrontements ayant repris dans leur pays en juillet 2016, augmentant la pression sur des infrastructures d'accès à l'eau déjà insuffisante pour la population autochtone. D'après le HCR, au 31 mars 2017, plus de 75.000 sud-soudanais ont trouvé refuge dans les territoires d'Aru, Faradje et Dungu, au nord-est de la République démocratique du Congo. / Women are drawing water from a polluted water source in Imbokolo, a town in the far north-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Ituri province, near the South Sudanese border . Imbokolo, like many other localities in the region, has hosted many South Sudanese refugees fleeing the clashes that resumed in their country in July 2016, increasing pressure on already inadequate water infrastructure for the indigenous population. According to the UNHCR, as of March 31th, 2017, more than 75,000 South Sudanese have taken refuge in the Aru, Faradje and Dungu territories in the north-eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
