Growable Graphics
Growable Graphics is a novel self-sustaining signage system. Hexagonal wooden tiles, covered with local moss and lichen species, can be combined into letters, numbers, arrows and other shapes. The tiles then live on a venue's rooftop and get harvested for temporary events, supporting local biodiversity and improving air quality. Tiles can be used over and over again, so there is no waste. The concept of biophilic design underpins all Trixi’s work. This is belief that all humans seek beneficial contact with nature - “and I have invented biophilic graphic design.”

GREEN GRADS was founded in 2021 by design journalist Barbara Chandler. Its mission is to identify and provide a platform for recent UK graduates who are “engaging with eco-issues, such as sustainability, climate change, circular production, waste and pollution, diminishing resources, biophilia, bio-diversity and much more”.
For their third show at the annual London Design Festival, GREEN GRADS presented THE GREEN GRADS HUB AT HEAL'S which ran from September 16-18 on the third floor of the Heal’s Building in London during the London Design Festival. An exhibition featured the work of 55 graduates who had been identified by Chandler at shows such as New Designers. "We'd like to thank most sincerely our events sponsors Heal's, landlords General Projects, and investors KKR," says Barbara. This beautiful venue, now part of The Manufactory at 196 Tottenham Court Road, is elegantly restored, and flooded with natural light.
Thanks to the generous support of Tech wizard Michael Nicola we presented a series of event with a stage, full sound system and screens

San Diego Padres baseball at Petco Park.
It's a very nice, fan-friendly park in downtown San Diego. If I'm not mistaken, Petco is known for having the best (variety of) concessions in all the MLB parks. (Having been to all but 4 as of this writing, I can confirm that they do, or certainly in the top few.)
The Park at the Park is also nice. It's over the centerfield fence and a great place to have a picnic. They have pre-game live music on stage there, and also wine tents.
The stadium and field are both nice. The sound system is among the best in all of the MLB parks.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the fans all seemed great, too. All in all, a terrific experience. Great job! You stay classy, San Diego!
